" A SMALL VICTORY "

This month I was attempting to finish my stormtroopers as part of azazelx painting challenge to finish squads, with work and holiday this didn't happen ( probably didn't help I added to their numbers ! LOL) I have however finished a unit of Tusken Raiders that have been sat on my painting table for far too long, hence my small victory title.

I have also started some of my new models, first to be finished is the Emperor which was fairly quick to finish.

Next is Zeb Orrelios, this alien is from Star Wars Rebels, I could leave this as done, but would like to do the detailing on his left shoulder pad at some point

Short post today as I have a lot of work still to do, so until next time have fun !
Cheers Dave

  1. The Tusken Raiders and the Emperor look great, Dave. Sadly, I have no idea who Zeb is - I've never seen him or heard of him.

    1. Thank you Bryan, Zeb is one of the main six characters in Star Wars Rebels which is a cartoon series which ran for 5 seasons and was set in the time period before episode IV a new hope in the films. Easy to understand not knowing who he is if you've not seen it

  2. Great stuff, Dave, I’ve always found the Sandpeople to be one of the best Star Wars monsters out there - every since reading the old British b&w comic adaption :-) You’ve got them down to a tee with your paint-jobs. Nice Emperor too, and Zeb looks excellent as well - not a rebels fan personally but I appreciate its popularity.

    1. Thank you Simon, would like to do some tusken females and children as well for a complete camp, when I've got time ! LOL
A lot of the later things are very much love or hate, myself I'm not a huge fan of film 7 & 8, but am very much looking forward to the live action TV series the Mandolorian, but each to their own

  4. Cheers mate, glad to finally get them finished, as they’ve been sat on the shelf of shame for far too long

  5. Lovely work on the Sand people (or "people of the sand" as they prefer to be called according to the "Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy"). I've never really watched "Rebels" though my two boys both liked it, so cant really comment on the accuracy of Zeb, but I'm sure he's spot on as usual.

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Thank you Roger, can't say I've seen the "Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy" so I'll take your word for it ! LOL
I do like to get the models accurate, I actually started watching Rebels to get my children into watching Star Wars, but ended up watching it myself instead ! LOL

    1. Thank you John, he was always going to be the first done as he is my favourite character from that series. No problem if you don't know who he is, as if we all liked the same stuff it would be a very boring world ! LOL

  7. Zeb and the Raiders look ace Dave.

But the winner of this post for me is Palpatine. Easily my fav SW character of all time. Good work mate.

    1. Thank you Dai, so you like a bit of the dark side ! LOL do you subscribe to the theory that Snoak is in fact the Emperor in the last two episode films ? If he is then he would be one of only three characters that had appeared in all of the episode movies, along with R2 and 3PO

    2. Always. I'm all about ultimate control and power. Umm... I mean, I like to command galaxy wide empires. Wait, that sounds bad too...!

No, Snoak is a crap character and the Emperor wouldn't have been half as dumb to have created a 3rd fecking stupid Death Star, nor would he have wasted time AGAIN with the annoying Skywalker clan. (You might be able to tell that I am in no way a fan of Episode VII & VIII and I suspect IX will be more of the same dogturd we've been served as well.)
    3. Nothing wrong with total universal domination ! lol
Have to agree on the later episodes being very lack lustre, hoping for more from the live action series with who’s directing them
