" EEKING OUT JUSTICE "

As I continue to paint the Judge Dredd models to clear them from the painting queue, I've got afew of Mega Cities finest finished. First up is PSI Judge Anderson and Chief PSI Judge Omar, both models were from Foundry

Next is 5 judge models, most of these were originally listed as Dredd, I just painted them as standard Judges.

Next is the maniacal Chief Judge Cal, with the deputy chief judge Fish

Next is another model Bryan gave me Stan Lee, this model was originally available from Mongoose

Next is Max Normal, Judge Dredd's informant, was going to leave off the pin stripes, but all the pictures I found from the comics had him in a pin stripe suit.

Here are some group shots of my finished collection so far
Judges of the World
Mega City Judges
Surfers and friends of Mega City 1
Villains

Have a few models left that Bryan gave me, then need to work out where I want to go from there, obviously I have bikers that are readily available from my business, but need some more citizens to add to my range, not sure where to go from there.
That's the lot for this post so until next time have fun !
Cheers Dave

  1. Nice selection of Judges there Dave.. and it reminds me that I actally have most of those that I purchased as a job lot on eBay a few years ago; a few I painted but the rest I only undercoated. I forgot I had them actually, as my JD mania is not active at the moment. Maybe next year or later this summer. I always had the notion that is might be fun to include some time warp/portal door to my Dungeons and Dragons fantasy realms, and thus bring Cursed Earth to Forgotten Realms or something. Drizzt meets Joe D, now there`s an encounter I`d like a ringside seat at... popcorn optional.

    1. I was amazed how many I actually had to be honest Steve, and it's so easy to forget models when your not working on them. For me I'd like to do primarily 2000 ad crossovers but could easily see me doing one with Mad Max as well, but that's the joy of this hobby, your only limited by your imagination ! LOL

    2. Hmmmmm, you gone and sparked something here Dave. There I was all geared up for historical gaming for a good many, many months ahead (with a list of things to do next), and now you get me all interested in this. REALLY interesting that you said you are primarily interested in crossovers, because in the time I wrote my comment and you replied, I came to that exact same opinion myself. thought to myself I did: "wouldn`t it be fun to do a JD game spanning all our favourite books, shows and films. You could put JD with Max, Terminator, Doc Who, Aliens, Resident Evil... AND D&D.

      Hmmmmmm, I can see I`m gonna have to start another blog just t cover this idea *^^
    3. Hopefully Dave will forgive this plug, but I did a BatRep with JD and Mad Max fighting Terminators a couple of years ago. https://fantorical.blogspot.com/2017/08/mutants-death-ray-guns-report-judge.html
    4. {{I was amazed how many I actually had to be honest Steve}}

      Oh I don`t have many Dave: I`d guess between 10 and 15 judges all told. But then again, that's plenty for any game isn't it.

      I`m sure I have that bike too. Didn't you gift me one in resin?
    5. You'll soon be the man of many blogs at this rate ! LOL I've got some ideas for models for the business that I should easily be able to use in my games, but I'm sure I'll end up needing to make some one offs to cover what other bits I want to include, as well as picking up some models that are available from other companies. Likely to be a slow burn project for me as I really want to do a lot of my Star Wars campaign

      I saw it Simon and thoroughly enjoyed it at the time, especially because it contained Aliens in the story. But perhaps best of all was that it used one of my fav Ganesha games sets of rules.
    7. No problem Simon, remember the game you did very well.
      As for the number of Judges needed Steve, for a lot of scenarios you could probably get away with 1, but 10-15 would make a fair size squad.
      Yes you did have one of those bikes before last Xmas, so it's probably packed in a box somewhere ! LOL

      That`s EXACTLY why I`m not letting myself get interested in Dredd this year. I have already promised myself I will get more deeply immersed in Imperial Assault later this year.
    9. {{Yes you did have one of those bikes before last Xmas, so it's probably packed in a box somewhere ! LOL}}

      Damn yes it is. Okay its now on my "things to do next" list.... HUNT FOR MY RUDDY BIKE.
    10. So many projects ! So little time ! LOL was good to clear this back log but my main focus this year will still be Star Wars, any JD work will only be dabbling to build up what I need so that when I'm ready to game I should have the majority of the work done.

    11. Reminds me, like the SW rules I sent last week, I actually have a DJ set on PDF you can have too (the original Mongoose ones from years ago). Its in depth... over 200 pages, but I think you`ll like it.
    12. Thank you Steve the Star Wars ones were cool, can never have too many rules ! LOL

  3. You have a nice collection here, Dave, all of which I also own. I'll be posting lots of new JD stuff this year. Oh, and I agree that crossovers sound so cool. There are many I'd like to do.

    1. Thank you Bryan, I imagine there isn't many JD models you don't own by now. The crossover possibilities are limitless to be honest

    1. Thank you Andy, it’s easy for things to shift in priority in the painting queue! lol the only reason I’ve got mine done is I’ve run out of Star Wars to paint ! ROFL
