" JUST A QUICK ONE "

Hope all are well and not feeling too bloated after the festivities, and have your preparations in order for the morning after next week ! LOL
This year for Xmas I had only one set of models to distract me, so managed to get them done in quick order with no other distractions.
I present you Hera Hyndulla and Chopper these characters are part of Star Wars Rebels cartoon series, and are members of the crew of the Ghost.

You may remember the rest of the crew I showed before, but here's a picture of the full group.

Can see this group of Rebels turning up from time to time in my gaming.
Have also finally finished my X-Wing Fighter, this was literally the R5 and Canopy to finish it.

Very quick post today, now back to basing all my IA figures, so until next time have fun !
Cheers Dave

  1. Once again, I'm unfamiliar with these two characters but I like the look of them, especially, Hera Hyndulla. Great work, Dave, and your X-Wing looks the business! Great weathering on it.

    1. Thank you Bryan, thought you wouldn't know these two, as you didn't know the rest of the Ghost crew. Hera is a cool character, daughter of dignitary and a Twilek, she is the pilot and captain of The Ghost.
Finding with large vehicles they look better weathered, as they suffer with large flat surface syndrome

  2. The pair of them look great, as does the rest of the completed Ghost crew! I like the X-Wing as well, where is it from?
On a less ...good note, I think you may have some malware attached to your page. I clicked on some non-hyperlinked text, and a fullscreen popup started to load before I caught it and took it down. It's happened once before as well... :/

    1. Cheers mate, was pleased with the Ghost crew. The X-Wing is from Revell in 1:48 scale, the R5 head is from one of my conversions.
A few people have had problems (including myself) will try and get it fixed, hopefully soon

    2. Same thing started to happen with the popup again today. Luckily i clocked it off pretty quickly - this time is was clicking onto the "December" link on the sidebar.

I'll keep an eye out for the 1:48 SW models when I'm out and about. Not that I haven't already got too much SW to paint already...
    3. That's annoying it's still happening, as Steve who's blog it originally was spent a day checking through and adding more security.
I'm down to 11 models left on what I currently own, so need to decided what to get next, or build next, or maybe clear some other projects ( the Star Wars itch will be calling soon I'm sure !)

    4. Just fyi, it's happened again today and also a couple of days ago. Just clicking on pretty much anything (the first time) launches a popup - which I need to quickly close down before it loads.
I'm using the latest version of Chrome. Also, it doesn't happen on other Blogspot blogs that I check out, either.
    5. Will ask Steve to have another look into it as it happens to me too

  3. Really nice work Dave, though I never watched the series I am familiar with "Rebels", mainly due to Myles shoving me in the cinema when there ship turned up in "The Force Awakens" (if only for a second!).

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Or was it "Rogue one" can't remember now (it was one of them anyway).

      :)
    2. Thank you Roger, yes the ghost ship appeared in Rogue One, it first appears on Yavin 4, and later in the battle sequence over Scarif

  4. Very neat job on Hera, I do like the figures pose it's an action pose but good for gaming with.

    1. Thank you John, the sculpt is very good, and was a joy to paint. Now running out of IA figures to paint, might be time to get some more, or get on with sculpting unavailable figures

  5. Your background is very reminiscent of a number of planets visited by the Enterprise, Dave - I keep expecting Kirk to pop up.

How's the gigantic spaceship project coming on?

    1. That's hardly surprising Jez, as the backdrop is a Vivarium backdrop of Death Valley, which is also where several episodes of Star Trek were filmed, I'm using it as they also used the same area for the pod race in Phantom Menace.
Haven't done anything on it for a long while now, but would like to plough back into it in 2019, all depends on other distractions ! LOL
