" FORGOTTEN HEROES UPDATE "

Got two more models finished on the sculpting side for my project, first up is Blackblood, the guns took a while on this one and lots of little details.

Then I have a last minute model which you haven't seen before, as Dai asked I thought why not try and get Mek Quake built, I've used guitar string to make some of the pipes, as they had no solid objects to work on.
One of the things I like about Clint's artwork is the robots don't always have the same details on both sides, this for a sculptor is great news as it adds more interest.

I now just need to try and paint these in two days to add into my final entry, might be a very late post Saturday !

    You're a sucker for punishment Dave - but I'm glad! :-)
    These are EXCELLENT additions to the project, and you can take at least some comfort from the fact that it'll be a tad cooler while you're burning the midnight oil ;-)

      Thank you Greg, never been the most sane of people ! LOL
      Will have seven left to finish out of the seventeen needed by the end, if I can get the remaining ones painted, if the weathers hot, I just keep adding water to the paint as I go, so don't have too many problems

    Fabulous! Are you ever tempted to use bought weapons with your sculpts or does it all have to be scratch built?

      Thank you Michael, if I can find weapons with the right look and size, more than happy to use them, especially on personal projects, business projects you run into copyright problems so tend to avoid them.

      Thank you Simon, I think when the warriors are fimished I'll do some protagonists for them, either terminators or some Imperial Rottweilers. Although Mean Arena could be fun ! LOL

    Blimey I knew I was going to busy re-posting stuff this week but I didn't realise it would all be by you! ;-)

    Great work as always Dave, we still need Mek-quake in vehicle mode (my preferred version), but please not this month!!!!

      Don't worry Mek Quake in vehicle form will be a lot later ! LOL I'm thinking of doing the Clint version where he's the transport vehicle for the rest of the warriors, but open to bribes to do a different version ! LOL

      Thank you Bryan, this project has been in the planning stage for six years, so really glad I took part in Forgotten Heroes to finally see this project reach fruition

      Thank you Dai, glad you liked Mek Quake, he was on the list but as you asked to see him I got him moved up the que, hopefully will get him painted before Saturday so can add him into the group shot, you'll see in that how large he is.

      Thank you Jez, wasn't about putting anyone to shame, just working at my speed and to my schedule, and don't forget this is what I do for a living, so 7 models from me should equate to one from a hobbyist, so in theory Keith and Ray have done more than me !
