" LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU "

Have made progression with the Jabba's Palace project, first is the painted version of Oola

Have also painted Yarna d'al' Gargan so now have both dancers of the palace finished

Now I've also finished the last two back up singers as well

THE BANDS ALL HERE
With the completion of these models I've got the entire band finished and will move on to the other denizens, I might start with Salacious B Crumb.

Inbetween sculpting and painting the last of the band I've got a bit more done on my X-Wing, just need to finish the cockpit and canopy, and decided what R unit to put as the droid in the back, as the R2 unit that comes with the model lacks detail.

I HAVE A WARRANT FOR YOUR TERMINATION

With all the current interest in Strontium Dog, I thought it was about time I painted up the models I sculpted many years ago, I might buy some of the new models available from Warlord Games, when I have the time to work on them, as I don't want to have too many projects on the go.

Right I'm off to sort out my party for a Victorian adventure, which I should have sent to Clint yesterday, so until next time have fun !
Cheers Dave

  1. Well, you certainly kept your Strontium Dogs trio a secret, Dave, but I really like them. I appreciate that you've probably only sculpted them for your own personal use, which is fine as I'm not sure if I would buy them if you put them on sale. It's not that I think there's anything wrong with them (there certainly isn't), it's just that I currently have six different figures of Johnny Alpha and four of Wulf. That's more than enough!

    1. Thank you Bryan, the trio was made as one off's, as certain parts would not cast easily, they were made back when I was practising scratch building before I started taking on commissions, at one point Mongoose was interested in having them for their own range of figures

  3. Really great post Dave, and love the Stronty Dog trio in particular. Of Course, in mentioning "Mongoose Games" you immediately got my blood boiling having been badly burnt on that awful "Judge Dredd" Kickstarter - but that's another looooong story :-)

  4. Thank you Simon, it was such a shame on how the Kickstarter ended up and even worse was the Rogue Trooper one! One of the many pitfalls with Kickstarter I saw recently one which screamed scam yet still funded

  5. The band looks most Excellent Dave! I am so tempted by Strontium Dog I am just a bit reluctant to start another game off. I may come back to it later in the year. Who knows what might accidentally happen at a show one day!

    1. Thank you Simon, glad to get the band finished. Strontium Dog is tempting, as are many new games out there, but we only have limited time so I try to limit myself to a couple of games , so I can put in the time needed on each project. The next game I've got in development should fill a gap in what I want to play and easily be adaptable to add in any characters I want, so can cherry pick figures I like

  6. Great stuff Dave, the band looks awesome as do your Stronties'

Always hated Salacious Crumb, but can see why you'd want one to complete your collection (bit like me and Orko).

    Cheers Roger.

  7. Bit late on commenting, Dave, for which I apologise. You've certainly bern busy creating these tertiary characters and they'll certainly add to the atmosphere of any games played on Tatooine.

  8. Thank you Jez, the fact you've taken the time to comment means just as much mate ! Would like to involve the band in some scenarios so their not just background, will have to wait and see how that turns out.
