THERE'S A RAT IN THE KITCHEN

There was a couple of cool robots in "The Book of Boba Fett" that I thought would be cool additions to my Jabba's Palace collection, the first was the Rat Catcher, it was a LEP droid, often nicknamed bunny droids, they were first seen in "The Clone Wars" cartoon series, but this was their live action debut.

As you can see from the above picture I had to scratch build this one, as I couldn't find a relevant model.

Next is the kitchen droid, this wasn't the first time this type of droid has appeared either, as it was originally seen in Episode 2 "Attack of the Clones" on the transport Anakin and Padme took to the planet Naboo.

As you can see this is another scratch build, unfortunately I made this one a bit too big, but it will do for now, until I'm ready to try again.

The last one today was a simple head conversion of a protocol droid, which was seen in Gazza Sanctuary ( Gambling and bar for anyone who hasn't seen the series) serving drinks.

No real plans for this one at the moment, but handy to have for future endeavours. That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

A COLD WIND BLOWING

Today I have the next piece I've completed for my client, this time it's a pair of ruined walls, that can work in conjunction with each other or as two separate pieces. This set of pictures is what I originally sent my client. As I had done werewolf footprints I thought a pee stain in the snow marking it's territory would be fitting.

Thought a intact window would make a nice change.

Here are detailed shots of the two easter eggs I added

This one was a real hoot to do.
Dumpster diving rat, rummaging through a waste pail

My client wasn't keen on the yellow snow, so asked for some blood and bones instead, and also asked for snow on some of the walls as if the wind had blown it on them, after a quick bit of research this was the result.

The werewolf discards it's latest snack.

Here are the construction photo's for those looking to build their own.

That's all for this post so until next time stay safe and have fun !

WAY OF THE MANDOLORE

One of the boxsets I got for Christmas was the Clan Wren boxset, which contains 7 Mandolorians, 4 female models and 3 male. This is the first set I've got that has more female models than male, which I thought was a nice touch. The 4 females I'll be saving for Fembruary, but thought I'd try out the colours on the males first.

Instead of painting them all in Clan Wren, I've gone for three different clans, but first here are the two I painted in Clan Wren colours, the first one is Tristan who is Sabine's brother.

Next is a unnamed clan Wren model.

The next clan I've gone for is Clan Kryze, and I used the colours from the episode of "The Mandolorian" as inspiration.

For the last model I've gone for Fenn Rau of the protectors. Now some of you may be thinking Dave said he had 3 male models but he's got 4, well I had some parts left over from the kit, a head, a jetpack, and a pair of arms, so I made up a body to utilise them, especially as Rau's armour looks very different from the rest.

Wasn't happy with the detail painting on this one, but it's at least done and another one for my Rebels timeline. That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

WHAT A DESOLATE PLACE THIS IS

What Tatooine desert would be complete without a crashed escape pod, or that was my thoughts at least. I received this kit back in October for my birthday, but took a while to get to, as my Google Foo wasn't bringing up much in the way of reference pictures, eventually I found one, and this is what I did. Reference picture included underneath.

I did the base as a separate piece, so it could be looted by Jawa's as a scenario. I haven't done anything with the C3PO and R2D2 that comes with the kit at the moment, but may well make a 3PO crossover with a battle droid at some point, and R2 can add to my robot infiltrators for the Clone Wars era, but that will be something for another day.

That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !
