" INTO THE WETLANDS"

In my post earlier this week I forgot to show a couple of pieces, the first is the man eating plant, which you can see a hapless victim trapped in one of traps.

" SHROOMS "
Next up is an assortment of fungi, these vary in size the largest of which is the mushroom tree

The giant shrooms can be placed individually, or stacked to make a shroom forest

Next we have a selection of medium sized shrooms, these could easily have effects on your models as you move past

Then we go smaller with our scatter shrooms

And lastly in this section, we have our Predator Shrooms, these fungi wait for unwary passers by before attempting to grab and then digest it's victims.

" CUPBOARD EXCLUSIVE "
As I mentioned to Simon in the last post, we have a pre release for all the visitors to the cupboard, the two headed monster Gilly & Stave is now finished and cast. If you email me at:

wargamesterrainworkshop@yahoo.co.uk

and mark your email "cupboard pre order" you can get your copy over a month before everyone else. It will be £5 on pre order +  postage.

That's it for now, as I'm off to play Death Match, so you can expect a BatRep soon, until next time have fun !

  2. Oh dear, that Gilly is scary. Its him to a tee when he wakes up in the morning calling for his first mug of"teaaaa" and I see the Dave (Stave) pony tail made it to the final cut *winks* Hmmmm Stave, that must be "St" for Stone and "ave" fro Dave, = St-ave, right?

I really like the terrain pieces, they look essential collection material to any self respecting sci-fi/alien gamer. I can see myself indulging here :)

    1. Thanks Hils glad I could capture a alien likeness of Steve, your correct on how I came up with Stave, I could have used one of the nicknames I've had over the years but they didn't seem alien enough

    2. Stave sounds very like Steve (Stave and Steve), that`s my only worry, and not enough "Dave" sounding. I`d have gone for Dave-eros hehe.
    3. like the dalek master, mm i really like that.
    4. Go the whole hog, go Roman Latin and make it Daverus lol
    5. All good suggestions which I will take on board and ponder, LOL
I see what you mean Hils

  4. Owning the vast majority of Dave's fungi I can definitely vouch for its quality, and its disconcerting attention to detail. You can almost smell the pungent aromas of some of these pieces :-) the two-headed monster looks superb, Dave, and will be top of my list at Salute - are you and Steve going to do a limited edition signed version ;-)

    3. Shhhhhhhhhh *whispers conspiratorially** Mine is going to be Gilly & Stone (see, we dont always stick to our own creation names lol. Like jez always says, once you`ve bought a piece and its yours, it becomes what you want it to be).
    4. Very true Steve, could have been worse, it could have been Gilly & Stoned making me sound like a person who's high ! LOL

    7. I wuite like the idea of adding whhels and machine guns to the 'pod' and using it in a post-apocalyptic Death Race type of game. Like an Alien 'Wacky Races' - oooooh, that's a pretty cool idea.
    8. A very interesting idea Jez, made me smile !

  5. Very nice photos of available alien fungi, all getting added to my growing eclectic wish list, and Kleric`s words of approval just add to that conviction.

  10. Very nice, Dave. The man-eating 'calzone' plant is definitely on my list, along with the digestion pool. Hmmm, both items relate to eating...how odd.

On a related note (as I've just thought of it), do the Games have food vendors circulating amongst the crowds? That would make a rather fun and interesting model, especially if you sculpted it with an 'empty' tray and made different inserts (representing different foodstuffs or drinks) so you personalise each vendor.

    1. Thank's Jez, there does seem to be a food theme running there! LOL
Yes have thought about vendors, and working on Traventi servants at the moment with the same idea casting a tray to then put different foods on the tray. Love the way were on the same wavelength

  11. And we've never been seen together... but then again, I've never been seen with Batman either. Could I actually BE Dave Stone? Or Batman? Is DAVE Batman? I'm so confused...
