Have finished another 2 of the suicide squad box, this only leaves one I can finish, 1 I need to find and 1 I need a replacement base for. In all honesty this means there will only be one more done for the time being.
First up is Diablo, this was one of my favourite characters in the movie, with his Aztec powers and cool tats, but meant I wasn't looking forward to trying to replicate him.
Next up is Katana, the film really didn't highlight this character very much, but hopefully that will be rectified in the next movie.
That's all for this post, next time may be something completely different, so until then have fun !
Cheers Dave
Excellent work on both of them, Dave. I love the design on the back of Diablo's jacket. I really liked Katana in the film but I do agree with you - I wish we'd seen more of her.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bryan, did a lot of reference hunting when I started this project to find all the details. It almost seemed like she was an afterthought in the movie, or the bigger name stars wanted more screentime ! LOL
DeleteCrikey Dave you are turning out stuff faster than I can keep up with. Another nice pair of figures I do like the way you've done the trousers on Diablo and as Bryan already said the design on his back is pretty amazing as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you John, been a bit quiet business wise so have had a little more time on my stuff, plus where most of my stuff is packed I can keep focused on one project. The trousers on Diablo were achieved with glazes over a light base and highlights, which helps give it a good contrast, the patch was one of the bits I was hesitant about
DeleteSo, so good Dave. The detail on the jacket is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael, just wish I could improve my photography to better show my painting
DeleteNo skull face tattoo? (Don't blame you LOl!)
ReplyDeleteGreat work Dave.
Thank you Dai, it is there, unfortunately the photograph has made it look like shadow as I did it with wash to get the grading
DeleteThat patch is awesome! The sword weilder is great too!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you Iain, when I stopped trying to over complicate it, it worked
DeleteFine bit of work Dave.
ReplyDeleteThank you Frank, glad you liked them
