It's that time again to dust off your scenery projects and get them finished for this years challenge, all scenery counts from a traffic cone (pylon) right up to a palace, you can do as much as you want, or just a single piece, the scenery can be either purchased or scratch built, and as with previous years I will be including vehicles, all scales are welcome and you have all of July and August to get your submissions posted. Here are a sample of last years fantastic entries.
If you would like to take part, just leave a comment in the section below, if I don't already follow your blog please include a link, so I can keep up with your submissions. If you are unable to leave a comment but would like to join in you can drop me an email at wargamesterrainworkshop@yahoo.co.uk just let me know your blog in the email.
For me this year I want to clear as much of my old scenery as possible, so no Star Wars creations this year, but should hopefully mean I'll have less distractions in future years allowing me to do some bigger stuff, so until next time stay safe and have fun !
Cheers Dave
I'm in. It's finally time I commit to a color scheme and finish my sector imperialis pieces... I've also got an eldar webway gate to finish off :) Cheers!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Joe, and look forward to seeing what your colour scheme will be.
DeleteI might be able to find time over this summer to work on some more terrain pieces for my various ongoing projects, so count me in Dave.
ReplyDeleteWould be great to have entering again this year Dai, as you were missed last year.
DeleteI'm in. Hopefully I'll do better than last year. Luckily for me, I have a brand new piece from Wargames Terrain Workshop that I can do...
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Keith, hopefully the WTW piece will be less problematic than the DS9 proved.
DeleteDave, I am definitely in! :-) The good news is that current non-scenery stuff is getting finished this week in preparation for the challenge, the bad news is that I've got so much scenery that needs doing I don't know where to start!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board John, I know that feeling, I've spent the last few days selecting what to do first, found what will hopefully be a couple of quick wins (famous last words ! LOL)
DeleteWhoa, a challenge that syncs up with what I’m doing as I’m making a whole battlefield. Does that count? I think it counts. I’m in. And I do need it done by the end of August as I’ll be taking it to a convention in early September. 😀
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Stewart, and always nice when a challenge coincides with what were already doing or got.
DeleteI'm in! I have some scenery nearly done and since tomorrow's July, I can get off to a fast start. I'll see if I can't top my meager entry last year of a single shipping container as well.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Jeff, and as I said last year one or twenty it all counts, it's all about taking part, and finishing off the scenery we have.
DeleteI'm absolutely in for this! I have a few projects in mind and can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Matt, and as we are in July now start away mate, obviously inbetween real life commitments and Bear wrestling ! LOL
DeleteThere seems to be a competitio/challengefor every day of the year and for everything imaginable. Good luck with this !
ReplyDeleteYou're not wrong Joe, there is a challenge every month, I don't take part in all of them, and some I'm only vaguely aware of due to other Bloggers, if it's run by one of the Bloggers I follow I do try to show my support by taking part, and then run a few as well, mostly started during the Lockdowns, but kept them going afterwards.
DeleteCount me in as well! Got a few greenskin-themed (what else?) scenery pieces lying around that need some paint, haha :D
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board snapfit, we never exclude any theme ! LOL if the challenge helps clear a bit of the pile, then it's done it's job.
DeleteI'm late but I'd like to join as I need something to get me finishing some terrain!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
No problem at all Iain, and great to have you on board for another season.
DeleteI remember seeing last year's wrap-up. I'm not sure what I was busy with, but looks like I wasn't able to partake. This year, I've nearly completed my scenery stuff *before* SOS, lol! I do have two posts in July, and maybe I'll have some more before August ends. :)
ReplyDeleteWill be great to have you on board for this years challenge Brian, and I've already saved your first entry.
DeleteI'd love to partake in this! Does it all have to be in one blog post or can it be in multiple? And here's my blog: https://spacedinosaurminis.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board for the challenge, you can post up how you like, one or multiple. I normally don't post up the summary until the middle of September, as we all know life can get in the way of posting to a deadline ! LOL
DeleteI'll be back in as I have a bunch of Ozz buildings to do at some point Dave!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board for another year Mark, and look forward to seeing the buildings.
DeleteLate to the party but I'll join in!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board for another year
DeleteHi! Recently saw this challenge highlighted over on Convert or Die. Very cool idea! I love the projects folks are taking on so far. I'm up to my eyeballs in tiny titans just at the moment but if this runs next year I'll totally give it a go. Congrats to all the challengers this year for the results so far. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi DAM, it is a yearly event, so you would be more than welcome to join in, also vehicles count in any scale, and as a titan is a type of vehicle they would count for this years challenge if you wanted, just drop me a link to your blog.
DeleteVery cool! I appreciate the pointer and I'm always up for a community challenge. https://262krieg.blogspot.com/
DeleteGreat to have you along DAM
