GET YOUR RIDE AND TAKE HER BACK TO BASE

 Between Christmas and Birthday, I got some more Scout Troopers for my Star Wars project, I got another pair of bikers, which now brings my total up to four, I'd like to get another pair to finish the unit, but I'd like to get the pair from the core box to get some variation.

I went with the normal dirty scheme on the painting, and the grey bikes from "The Mandolorian", I have also painted up a box set of the Scout Troopers on foot, you get seven in the box, a squad leader, a sniper which was my favourite of the set, and a trooper with demolition charges, as seen below.

You also get 4 standard troopers in various poses, as seen below.

With the two I have from WOTC and the 4 with E-Web cannons from Imperial Assault I have a fair size force, but I might get some more later on, to make a decent sized unit of them.

THE FASTEST WAY TO TRAVEL

 Today I have another piece I've built for my client, a portal. He saw the one I had in my range that was Aztec inspired, and after a brief discussion we went with a new design fitting the environment of Frostgrave. Below you can see the finished piece with the portal activated.

You may have noticed that the outer ring of the portal is a separate piece,  this was so my client could change the symbol depending on what was coming through the portal, fun little thing for gaming. That's all for this post so until next time stay safe and have fun !

COULDN'T HIT THE SIDE OF A BANTHA

 Continuing on with new models I got is this squad of Stormtroopers, I got these for my Birthday and didn't want to delay painting them too long, as it can be easy to pass them by and paint something more interesting. I've gone for my standard dirty Tatooine look. The kit comes with a leader missile launcher, and heavy weapon seen below.

You also get an additional 4 standard troopers seen below.

another unit finished for the challenge, still have a few more Birthday and Christmas presents to go through, plus finishing off some old projects, so plenty to keep me out of trouble. That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

COLD STORAGE

 I've got another piece of Frostgrave scenery I've built for my customer to show today, I'll apologise in advance as there are no construction pictures, this is due to having to paint so much as pieces before sticking it all together, but if anybody has questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

My customer wanted an abandoned store room, but left the the details of which to me, I've made it so the doors move, which adds to the playability, and made a block and tackle to show how they would have got stores up to the second level, I also included a ladder so in game play it was easy enough for models to get to the second floor.

As is customary I've added some fun details, you may have noticed the carnivorous bird footprints above. Below is a barrel with snow drift around it, and up  in the rafters is a bat, that could be hibernating, or just frozen to the spot.

On the ground floor are remnants of the stores contents, a crate in one corner and a barrel and sack that has been opened by the rat, and an empty one that could possibly have a rat inside it or it's just bunched up.

ONE CARFUL OWNER

 As many of you will know from previous posts I've been collecting up Vehicles for my Star Wars project, but as yet I haven't done many small vehicles like speeders, there are a few different official ones that have appeared in the numerous films and series, of which I would very much like to have at some point either official models, or 3D prints or scratch built. Todays model isn't an official model but has a suitable look to it to fit in, this was a 3D print I got for Christmas.

Paint wise I went for a bit beat up and well worn, with a heavy amount of dust as well. Was pleased with the end look, so that's all for this post, so until next time, stay safe and have fun !

RETURN TO MY FAVOURITE GALAXY

 Between my Birthday and Christmas I was very lucky with all the new models I received for my favourite Galaxy Star Wars, and today I have two of those models finished, first is the Tusken Leader that appeared in "The Book of Boba Fett" series, this is a 3D printed model, the cast was really good and the detail lines weren't too shallow. I went for a colour scheme that tied into the rest of my Tusken models rather than the clan that was shown in the series.

Next is a robot that was seen in "Return of the Jedi" torturing a power droid in Jabba's Palace, 8D8 he then appeared again in Jabba's Palace in "The Book of Boba Fett" where is paint had yellowed, and his eyes were now red, I went for the original colour scheme as it fitted my time line better. The model is also a 3D print, that the quality was very good.

So that's two more for the challenge done, I really need to finish some of the old projects, but the new models are calling my name, so we will have to see how I  get on during the challenge, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

THIRD TIMES THE CHARM

 Since Rogue Trader the Clawed Fiend has developed, it was first called the Cthellean Cudbear and looked like the picture below.

Next it appeared in the 3 rd edition 40K and was called the Clawed Fiend of the Donorian sector, a model was never released so I built one, which my friend who liked Dark Eldar really liked so I gave it to him for his Birthday.

It then didn't appear again until the second edition codex, and when the model came out I wasn't enthralled, but preferred Jes Goodwins concept sketch instead, so I built one based on that, whic a customer spotted in my display cabinet at a show and bought it.

So after two attempts I still hadn't actually painted one, now I know I said I was going to do this for Monster May(hem) but once I finished sculpting it I just couldn't wait, I've changed the design on this one a bit, but I like the modifications, I've also included the greens below so you can see it was all scratchbuilt.

After finishing this one I realised what it now reminded me of, Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, just bigger and more angry looking ! LOL This is my first entry for the challenge, next could be more DE or mutants, or Star Wars, I will see what grabs my attention. So until next time stay safe and have fun !
