GUARD THIS

With the starter set of Kill Team that we got for the children, there was a squad that neither child wanted, so I've painted them up to have a different squad for them to face ( this plus the Kroot squad that I wanted). These are Death Corp of Krieg models that come in the starter set, for colours I've gone simple and muted, construction wise I included some interesting options, like a spotter, a sniper, and anything else I liked the look of, it's probably not competitive, but should give the children something to get used to battling.

This now completes my contribution from the starter set, and the rest is down to the children, so until next time stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

Nicely done, Dave! :-) I like the colour scheme! Funnily enough, since I mainly do historical figures, these would have been the squad that I'd have wanted!

    1. Thank you John, they do have a historical feel to them with the style of helmet, and putties, I think that's what influenced the colour scheme subconsciously ! LOL

  2. Great work. You can never go wrong with Death Korps of Krieg. Some day I'll follow your steps and get some too...

    1. Thank you Suber, they are a classic design now, and with their familiar style make them easily recognisable, I think I prefer the old Forgeworld models, but these are a very good second place

    1. Thank you Michael, I'll have to find out how effective they are in games, once the children are ready, but as you say they do look tough ! LOL

    1. Thank you Brian, having these I'm not worried about the children wiping them out, I might be a bit more competitive with my Kroot ! LOL Once my daughter has finished her exams, I'm sure she'll be helping out, then I just need to prize my son off of his tech, to get working on his part ! LOL

  5. nice job,. hope you won't be waiting too long for the kids to get their models done.
I won't tell you how long I have to usually wait for my kids to do something their supposed to do....😁

    1. Thank you Stewart, Hopefully it won't be too long, in the mean time, I'll sort out a gaming board, and some more scenery for them to play over, plus it will give me another board to game on, thinking of doing an alien world, as I already produce a lot of scenery for that.

  6. Your kids don't like the Death Korps of Krieg!? Warhammer 40k doesn't get any better than that! :) What factions did they choose instead? I like how you went with non-camo colors for Krieg. Dark colors suit them as there is something a bit sinister about them!

    1. Thank you Jeff, they always reminded me of Germans hence the colour choices I went for, my daughter went for Necrons, as she wants to go into Robotics, and my son went for Orks, as I think he liked their straight forward brutal nature.

    2. Krieg does tend to resemble Germans in their appearance and good choices, especially on the Necrons. They're also a great 40k faction!

    3. They do indeed, which isn't a bad thing in my book. I made sure not to influence the children's choices, and just showed them all the different factions and let them choose, with answering any questions they had.

  7. Good work on the Death Corp of Krieg models, Dave. Definitely a nice-looking plastic kit from GW which I must pick up at some point. Kill Team seemed to be their best-seller until they started underproducing the sets for it.

    1. Thank you Simon, There are some great models in the range, and yes such a shame that at points they are always out of stock, but that seems to be a very common theme on GW's site these days, I can't recall the last time I saw an entire range in stock to be honest ! LOL
