PAINT WHAT YOU GOT CHALLENGE 2023/2024

The time is rapidly approaching for the challenge that rounds up the year and starts the next. The start date for the challenge is the 26 th of December 2023 otherwise known as Boxing Day in the UK. So what counts in this challenge, EVERYTHING ! It can be part painted models, models painted from scratch the choice is yours, scenery counts as well, basically anything and everything, the challenge is all about getting models finished. You set your own targets, if you want to get one really well painted model done, or 30 gaming models the choice is yours, they just have to be completed between the start date listed above and the closing date of the 29 th of February 2024. Here are a selection of last years entries to intice you.

If you would like to take part then just leave a comment below or you can drop me an email at wargamesterrainworkshop@yahoo.co.uk expressing that you would like to take part. If yours is a blog I don't follow currently please leave a link to your blog. For me I'm aiming to clear some old projects, and if I'm lucky enough to get some new models for Christmas maybe paint some of them as well.

That's all for this post. so until next time stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

I'm up for this challenge again, Dave! :-) I might even have something completely different to paint (if I remember)! 'Fraid I've got behind on posts so I'm working back through yours!

  3. I despise the challenge and actively avoid bloggers that take part during and a little after it finishes. It’s not paint what you’ve got as entrants buy extra figures to move around some nonsense game board or something. Total rubbish, run by some Canadian and his wife. Laughable!

  4. My plan is to paint ONE really nice HELLBOY model! LOL!

Just kidding, I'll take part but I'm afraid my output is looking far less than last year's. Too much going on, but hope to push myself to get as much as I can done. Thanks for hosting this, Dave!

    1. I'll have you know that I spent way too long on that Hellboy mini and won absolutely nothing in Mantic's painting competition. It was time very well spent haha!

    2. Great to have you on board Brian, and it's all about finishing models, whether it be 1 or 20, anything of the to do list.
And Jeff actually painted more than just one ! LOL

  5. I think I'll have a few things to enter in this year's challenge in addition to working on Minerva which will likely take the bulk of my time. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

    1. No problem snapfit, and great to have you on board again, and indeed this will be your 3 rd year, and the event has only been running for 4 so I would say you are a veteran of it now.

  8. Sign me up please! What I got is masses of miniatures that I ought to get on with painting. What I don’t got is the kick up the back side required to get me working on them, this should be the push I need!

  9. Not sure how I missed this posting, Dave. I'd certainly like to pitch a few partially-painted figures/models in if I may. I'm predominantly focused upon the AHPC. But do plan to get some other stuff done when I can to help clear the hobby desk a bit more.

  11. I'll start getting the backlog posted in the next couple of days. Not that there's a huge backlog from the year so far or anything...
