LAST OF THEM

For my first challenge submission I really wanted to finish the last 10 mutants for my lost and the damned army, especially as this now finishes everything I currently have for the three Chaos armies, it also means they are finally cleared off my desk as they have been sat there since last years challenge.

From the group shot above the first three models were all sold as leaders from the scavvy gang for Necromunda, the one on the right was a 1 st edition and the other two were second edition.

These next two models were both 1 st edition gang members.

These next two were second edition gang members, and the sculpts were very similar, plus I've done the odd conversion.

These last 3 were also second edition gang members, but no conversions on these.

As you will notice the mutations on these are very subtle, rather than the usual mass of tentacles you tend to see, as I wanted to portray that all mutations are shunned by the Imperium, even though the living conditions for their citizens is often the cause of the mutations rather than the worshiping of the Dark Gods, but they would be the only ones to accept these people.

That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

SOARING HIGH

Before I start posting up challenge models, I needed to clear what I've got done before I start, with that in mind I've got some flyers today for the Lizardmen army, these first two were left over from a customer project I did a pair of Ripperdactyl's. To make them into a full unit I will need to get another box set, but that will be at a later date. The colour scheme I found on the internet, and I thought it was quite interesting, and the bases I made some dead trees to support them in the sky.

I also had some original Pteradons, that I wanted to use, but the wings were a little small in my opinion, so I lengthened them, below is the normal size.

I also used the spare bits from the ripper/Pteradon box set as well to give them a unique look, I also wanted to make their colours different from the Rippers so came up with this one.

As you will see above I used long grasses to hide the pins that hold up the models. Next post will be challenge models, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

LITTLE & LARGE

Carrying on with my old Lizardmen, I've got a couple of more pieces finished. This first one is a model GW released as the character Tehenhauin the prophet of Sotek, I wont be using it as the character, but will add it as a standard bearer in a skink unit.

Next I've got a unit of 3 Kroxigor, these are the original release models as I hated the second edition ones, the latest version look good, and I may well get some of those as you can use Kroxigor in two ways, either as a unit in their own right, or as part of a unit of Skinks to give them some added strength in combat, which is what I will use these 3 for.

The next one I've done is a Stegadon, the bottom half is the original metal body with the updated howdah from the plastic kit and it's crew.

Below is the original metal model and the new plastic one in their normal form so you can see the difference.

I've still got some flyers to finish and a unit of skink skirmishers, and then I'll have pretty much finished all the bits I currently have done, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

SAURUS

 -

Firstly I'd like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas, and hope you and your families have a great time this year.

Onto my next batch of Lizardmen the Saurus, these are the larger of the basic troops, but not as agile as the smaller Skinks, but hit a lot harder. I don't have many of these at the moment and will need to add some of the more recent plastics to build up their numbers. First is a Saurus Oldblood, these can be used as army generals, this one is actually got parts from a metal character, that I didn't want to use as a character, but more on him later in this post.

Next we have a command group for the Temple Guard, or as GW now call them the Saurus Guard, these elites can accompany a Slann Mage Priest to give him protection.

I've also got a second Temple Guard champion, (got two the same Christmas from two different people) and can always use it as a champion in a unit of Saurus.

Last today is an Oldblood on Carnosaur, this is where the parts from the first model ended up on. The mount is the original metal model, which I changed the pose to make him more upright, which I think gives it a more aggressive look.

Almost forgot, I actually remembered to take pictures of the conversion of this one

That's all for todays post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !
