A LITTLE LADY

With the heat this week I haven't managed to finish the gatehouse, as paint was drying way too fast, but have made some progress. On the cooler evenings I did however manage to paint my Princess Leia figure, this was a impulse buy recently after Roger had posed the question of what model would we most like. Yes I could have probably sculpted one, but this seemed an easier win just to repaint the Wizards of the Coast version.

I have to say she is a very small model, but will do as a representation for my gaming. Short post today as the weather has turned I want to try and finish the gatehouse, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

    1. Thank you Dai, indeed but a lovely colour blue with the stun ! LOL I'm planning that my gaming will be set before the construction of the Death Star hasn't been completed, so before Rogue One. So will be used as on diplomatic missions ( rebel missions) of course.

  2. An iconic pose from an iconic figure, what is it about a woman in a white robe and a big gun. Must be my age, I'll go and have a cold shower. :)

    1. Thank you John, it is very iconic, I guess it probably wouldn't help to tell you she wasn't wearing a bra either only tape ! LOL

    2. I hope you can verify your assertions with pictures, you know what they say, no pictures - it didn't happen. Another cold shower I think.

    3. Sadly John there was no photographic evidence, it was an interview with Carrie Fisher, who said the running joke on set was whoever messed up during takes had to be the one pulling the tape off ! LOL as for the cold showers you could probably just step outside in this weather ! LOL

    1. Thank you Frank, got to love a lady who knows what she wants ! LOL Would have liked a model where she wasn't holding a blaster, but they don't seem very popular

  5. Nice work on her, Dave! They got her pose bang on, even down to the cinnamon roll hair, and the paintjob's great!

  6. Very nice work Dave, as you say "No bra's in space!" strange then that Lucas had her in a metal one two films later.....

    1. Thank you Roger, indeed, but then if you look at the outfits of the dancers and backup singers, it gives a open look at his psyche ! LOL

    1. Thank you Martin, the heat can really hamper painting, was waiting until 10 pm to paint this one so the paint would move not just dry on the brush ! LOL

    1. Thank you Harry, it can be quite daunting, making sure the colours are right, but pushing ourselves, can see improvement in our skillset
