PAINT WHAT YOU GOT PAINTING CHALLENGE 2022/2023

With Christmas almost upon us it's time again to set the end of year beginning of the next painting challenge. The start date will be 26/12/2022 and will run until the 28/02/2023. Now the reason I've gone back to this length is due to being asked as our friends in the Southern Hemisphere are in Summer, and it's easier for them to do scenery, as when the Season of Scenery challenge is running they are in the middle of Winter. So what counts, it all does ! You can do scenery, models, or vehicles whatever you like, you set the boundaries. It can also be old models or new models, models that are part painted, as this challenge is all about getting models finished. If you choose to do one model, no problem and don't judge yourself against what others are doing as it's all about beating your own target. Here's some models from last years challenge to inspire you.

If you are interested in taking part, just leave a comment below, you can set your target in the comment or leave it open. For myself I want to finish old projects, like my Dark Eldar and mutant unit, but also get back to my Star Wars project. That's all for now, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  1. I'm in, though I won't be starting till the new year (lets just get Christmas over first!), no target I'm afraid as I currently have no idea what I'm going to paint next (so no change there then! 😁).

Good luck with your choices and all the best to you over the festive period mate.

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Great to have you on board Roger, no problem on the target, it's sometimes easier to leave the goal fluid ! LOL
The festivities start tomorrow for me so will be pretty manic as most years ! LOL

  2. Think I'll be joining in Dave, but like Roger, won't be starting until the New Year. Target will be some Bolt Action WW2 minis including starting a new project and some random palette cleanser minis (Most likely Burrows and Badgers related) when the mojo becomes affected painting so many brown and green uniforms!

You can definitely count me in for this Dave! :-) Not sure about targets, since it will depend on whether I opt to paint infantry or catch up on vehicles! I've slumped since finishing my Austrian army, so his challenge comes at a good time for me. I'm not expecting to do scenery since I've got more than enough of that for that specific challenge!

    1. Great to have you on board John, from the others I would say being fluid is the way to go on targets, but as long as were getting models finished it's got to be a good thing ! LOL

    1. It's the thing that always amazes me about any of the challenges Phil, the diversity, quality and quantity. Shame you can't join in, but understandable.

  7. Hey Dave you KNOW I'm in - got lots of Wars of Ozz stuff to do so I can get them into games. Starting with the Winkies (the "orcs/orks (alternate spelling for IRO)), a Munchkin Aerostat, some Great Apes (flying), lesser Apes (non flying), and if I get that far I'll start my Wars of Harvest Brigade of pumpkinheads, corn and carrot creatures, and savage apple Trees! Not sure how far I'll get, but I'm giving it my best!

    1. Great to have you on board Mark, lots on the horizon, and should be a riot of colour, going by what you have already painted.

    1. Great to have you on board mate, sorry if this makes it difficult, even if it was just the bases done after that date, I'll count them if that makes it any easier for you

  11. I'm in! I have some humanoid mobs I'd like to get done. I'm not sure how many I'll manage. Probably 2 mobs and I can enter a few miscellaneous singles if those count too.

    1. Great to have you on board Brian, and the good thing about this challenge is everything counts, even if it's just finishing a part painted model.
