On one of my recent posts John mentioned the Incinerator Trooper seen in season 1 of the Mandalorian, now so far I haven't managed to get a model of this trooper, but I am on the look out for one, and the mortar crew seen in season 2, but I did have another Dewback, which has a flamer option, which I thought would do to paint the colour scheme.
After taking the photos I realised I haven't actually done the weathering on the Stormtrooper, so he will need a touch up before moving to the Imperial Shelf ! LOL
Hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas, so until next time, stay safe and have fun !
Cheers Dave
That is just class, Dave! :-) It was worth me mentioning it and it's made my Christmas! I did spot the mortar team and wondered if you'd thought about them as well. I'm now onto The Book of Boba Fett and enjoying that!
ReplyDeleteThank you John, glad you like it as you inspired me on this one, and glad you're enjoying the shows so far, and lot's to look forward to in season 3.
DeleteTop stuff, Dave, with your attention to detail on the stormtrooper's armour proving particularly impressive. Big fan of the Dewback riders, so this post really caught my attention. Happy Christmas and New Year, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon, was a nice change from just white, which I don't mind now I have the right recipe, and Dewbacks are just so cool. Hope you and the family have a Great Christmas, and New Year
DeleteGreat looking mounted stormtrooper!

Thank you Iain, hope you have a very Merry Christmas
DeleteLovely as usual. Right, as the others said, your attentionto detail makes thedifference. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber, was fun to do rather than just plain white ! LOL Happy new year to you too.
DeleteJohn is certainly earning his plaudits lately and for good reason! This miniature looks great and I like the addition of red to the standard stormtrooper armor. It contrasts nicely with the Dewback's skin/scale tone. Were you tempted at all to do some chipping on the red parts? It'd require really tiny brushstrokes so I wouldn't blame you if you took a look at that and thought, "nah!"
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeff, he certainly does, doesn't he. Yes I totally forgot the chipping and the weathering in my rush to get it painted, so will go back and add both at some point, which is why the model hasn't left the painting desk yet as a reminder ! LOL
DeleteThat red looks really good and you got the look done perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThank you SD, you'll probably see it again, when I remember to do the chipping and weathering ! LOL
DeleteReally cool model. Flamer on a dewback sounds like a recipe for disaster though? I mean, how does one train a giant lizard not to bolt (Or worse) when one blasts away with propellants at clse range!? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Dai, I totally see your point, but with how Imperials work, they probably have some very nasty conditioning they use on the poor Dewbacks, so they don't bolt any time it's used ! LOL
