NON COMBATANTS

One of the things my eldest daughter is always on the look out for me, is models that would be great as civilians to populate either Mos Eisley, or Mos Espa, as that is my ultimate goal to be playing in those realms, and this year she found some excellent ones. The first is a model of Duchess Satine, originally seen in the Clone Wars animated series, but I could use it as a noble woman.

Next is the young Princess Leia with her droid Lola, as seen in the series Obi Wan Kenobi, but I can use her as a child playing in the streets.

Last today is a Nautolan, which is the same species as Kit Fisto who was a Jedi as seen in Episodes 1,2 and 3 and multiple episodes of Clone Wars.

That's all for today, hopefully many more posts to come in 2025, and I'd like to wish you all a happy New Year, so until then, stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  2. Always a big fan of civvies being represented on game tables. Just makes for a more believable and immersive experience I feel.

Little-girl-Leia was a great casting I think and they portrayed the little brat well imo in the show.

But I think the Nautolan gets my vote for best of this trio. Just a cool, nothing special to the sculpt, yet that aspect really makes him/her appealing to me.

    1. Thank you Dai, indeed it was portrayed well in Rogue One, that the citizens don't just disappear when the fighting starts, and can often put themselves in the line of fire.
Agreed she played the character well, and I really liked that they named the robot Lola after Carrie Fishers pet bird, I thought that was a nice touch.
Because he is so generic as a citizen, it gives him the greatest versatility I think, with the subtle knife, he could be a debt collector, or he could just be down on his luck and that's his last line of defence, so many options.

  3. That's sweet, I always loved civilians in every setting, they add depth and can be quite a relevant element in any game if you want to. Cool job on these! All the best for 2025, happy New Year!

These are brilliant, Dave! :-) Satine is my favourite of the three, but it's a difficult choice! I maybe need to re-watch everything to get some ideas about characters you may have missed (not that I can imagine there are many of those)!

    1. Thank you John, I can see many uses for all three, so are welcome additions. I have a few obscure ones in mind for Forgotten Heroes this year, mostly filling out the cantina, and Jabba's Palace, then there are a few from the city I'd like to do for wandering citizens, but I'm sure there is plenty more to do ! LOL
