This is becoming a yearly tradition for me, a Star Wars related post on Star Wars day, and even better if I can tie it into Monster May(hem), which this year I have, a Dewback for going outside my cantina project
Used the same color scheme as I did for the Stormtrooper ones I did earlier, with a little variation. The model is a 3D print in resin that my daughter got me as a thank you, which was extremely nice of her.
Earlier in the week I was a little bit slow to reply to comments, and comment on many blogs I follow, unfortunately my PC died, and had to wait for a new one to arrive, still trying to get used to it, and find all the bits I'm looking for, but hopefully I can except the change quicker than normal ! LOL Until next time, stay safe, and have fun!
Cheers Dave
Perfectly themed for the day! Is the new PC nice and beefy for gaming or just your daily driver?
ReplyDeleteThank you SD, it's my work horse, haven't actually played a computer game in over 8 years now ! LOL
DeleteThe Dewback looks great, how many of thise do you have by now? I hope you get your new PC running at full strength soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber, this brings my total up to six now, which should be more than enough ! LOL I think the PC is running at full strength just not my brain ! LOL
DeleteLovely looking dewback, it helps set the scene for a Star Wars game.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you need a protocol droid to sort out your new PC?
Thank you misterc, you are spot on that the background creatures and vehicles really help set the scene.
DeleteA astromech would be better would take up less room ! LOL
great looking Dewback. Was the thankyou gift for Crushing It as a father? 😁
ReplyDeleteThank you Stewart, got my recipe down to a fine art now ! LOL Kind of for sorting out the repairs on her bike for her.
DeleteSmashing work on the Dewback, I always like them from when I saw the (much more static ones ) in my original viewings of Star Wars back in the seventies.
ReplyDeleteHappy May the 4th to you mate!
Cheers Roger.
Thank you Roger, They were always one of my favorites too, and like you enjoyed the look of the original as well.
DeleteHad a good one watched the tales of the Underworld which I enjoyed
He'll fit in nicely with the rest of the giant lizards you have. Good stuff Dave.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dai, the main reason for getting him was to put outside the cantina, but will also work well for stormtroopers dismounting as well, so multiple uses ! LOL
DeleteLooks really good, Dave! :-) You could always add a removable rider or baggage load at some point in the future if you wanted it to multi-task. My old Windows laptop finally gave up a few weeks ago so I've just bought a new printer that will work with my Chromebook and that will do me!
ReplyDeleteThank you John, when I got him, I only had one purpose in mind which was to put outside the cantina, but I'm relising he is very versatile, and I could infact do multiple different riders, so will have to see what I come up with at some point ! LOL
Deletebeaut monster mate
ReplyDeleteThank you Andy, and proving a very versatile model from all the comments ! LOL
DeleteI hope the 4th was with you, Dave! I really like the latest Dewback and as I've said before, its a staple creature in Star Wars as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDeleteI hope the new PC is treating you well too. If you had to upgrade/transition to the newest version of Windows, then I will say that its a bit different and took me some getting used to when I first started coming across it myself. Either way, I didn't notice any delays in your comments so you must be getting it down pretty quickly!
Thank you Jeff, sat and enjoyed watching Tales of the Underworld, indeed was always one of my favorites.
DeleteSlowly getting used to it, for me the biggest pain is when they move the controls and then have to find them again, but not too many problems so far ! LOL
