I HAVE THE DEATH SENTANCE IN 12 SYSTEMS

My children managed to find a couple of WOTC figures to add to my denizens of the cantina for Christmas. On the left is Cornelius Evazan who is the man responsible for the line above and saying it to Luke in the cantina,

On the right is Dannik Jerriko who was leaning against the bar at the entrance smoking. Both of these were simple repaints of the standard models.

Have finished the last unit of Demonettes as well, these are all mounted on steeds of Slaanesh and are referred to as Seekers. These are all 2nd edition models, and are standard models except the one with head plates on the steed which was a conversion.

Have also managed to finish the last 4 models needed for my Headhunter Kroot unit, the conversions were done back when I got the box last year, and I even started painting the, but then they got overlooked, so was good to get them finished, and an extra to my goal for the challenge.

Thought for the day, never name a child Will, they always aim for him first ! LOL

That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  1. "I have the death sentence in twelve systems!", I assume by the fashion police! I don't know what he's supposed to have done, but he sure isn't making any money at it, looking at his clothes.

Didn't him and his friend make a guest appearance in the background in "Rogue one"?

Nice work as always, and as I said over on my blog, I'm sure you only start these challenges to make the rest of us look slow!!!

    Cheers Roger.

    1. I always saw him as one of those guys who likes to big them self up, in front of others, especially if he thinks a persons weaker than him, but when it gets down to the nitty gritty, he'd be the first out the door ! LOL Yes him and Ponda bumped into Jyn and tried to make themselves seem hard there too !
I did see that comment ! LOL That's why the targets were set by the individuals, as we all work at different speeds, and I would never judge anyone else against my speed, as that would be unfair, and it's all about fun, and getting things finished, of which I have far too many ! ROFL

  2. Great work Dave, really love those Seekers & had them once upon a time in my Daemon army.
Their a throw back to the days when GW was so CP minded lol

    1. Thank you Frank, must admit these were a surprise on release, as GW had already geared towards a more child friendly aesthetic.
I bet you wish you'd kept hold of those models, as they're now selling for £25 + each on Ebay ! ( not that I'm selling these ! LOL)

    2. Your right Dave, I do wish I held on to them but not so I could sell them now.

  3. Great work on those Star Wars minis! It took me years to realise he was saying "I have the death sentence in twelve systems". Good to see them represented in all their glory.

I love those 3rd edition Seekers. I have a couple of second-edition ones that I need to paint up. I do prefer yours though, they're much sleeker.

    1. Thank you Matt, he was a bit mumbly ! LOL I was surprised at how dainty these two models were compared to others, so had to adjust the painting accordingly.
These were definitely my favourite version, but can see the appeal of the other versions

  4. Great stuff Dave! I didn't realize that you hadn't painted up Dr. Evazan yet - a bit mad to note he was Dryden Vos' personal doctor 😀

    1. Thank you Ivor, I did Ponda a few years back, but wasn't keen on sculpting Evazan and had been putting him off, so was really glad when the children found this one. I did not know that he was Dryden's personal Doctor, you'd have thought he could have afforded some finer clothes ! LOL

  6. A nice mix of miniatures; you have certainly been productive. I particularly like those pink seekers!

    1. Thank you Ann, like to keep busy ! LOL The seekers are painted in Vallejo warlord purple, but it's a lot closer to pink in the spectrum, and helps make the demonettes stand out

    1. Thank you Joe, still a few more to go I'm afraid, 4 more aliens, two more spacemen, and then at least 9 humans so 15 in total, hopefully finish those this year and can then concentrate on the denizens of Jabba's palace as I've still got quite a few to do for there, plus a load of scenery

    1. Thank you John, sadly they're not in GW's current full army lists, but I'm playing my own version so does not matter to me ! LOL

  9. Looking great here, Dave - the Cantina is still coming along in leaps and bounds I see!
Love those Diaz Seekers. I need to paint some of mine one day, but Nurgle needs to be completed first. :/
Kroot are looking pretty ace as well - you don't seem to see many of them around, really.

    1. Cheers mate, would really like to finish the cantina this year, would give me more time to finish other elements for this project. Can fully understand wanting to finish one project first ! LOL Until GW do anything like a full list for the Kroot I don't expect you will see many, as most Tau players don't take them, and the chapter approved list is so out of date now, you've got to be willing to adapt the rules

  10. Lovely takes! Jerrico in the comics was some sort of vampiric assassin. Rather enjoyed that idea after he was pretty much just "Smoking alien" in the film.

    1. Thank you Dai, I had read he was supposed to be an Assassin, but hadn't read about the vampiric part, which sounds very cool !

    2. Those large nostrils contain tentacles that his species feed through. They apparently hunt force sensitives for their abilities which apparently taste delish

    3. Strange and gross, but would make sense on why he took such an interest in Luke and Ben
