KEEPER OF SECRETS

Azaezel's challenge this month for Awesome August, was to finish a large character model, as most of my stuff is still in boxes I didn't think I would be able to do one, but then remembered my Keeper of Secrets model wasn't boxed as it doesn't travel well and had brought it over by hand.
This model has sat part painted since I bought it on prerelease, as I wasn't happy with the colour I'd used, with the addition of a purple glaze to the skintone I'd used it gave it the unatural look I'd desired

Feels really good to clear this neglected model from the pile, until next time have fun !
Cheers Dave

  1. That looks awesome, Dave. Did you sculpt/convert any of it yourself?

    1. Thank you Simon, no conversion on my part as Daniel Cockersill did a fantastic job on the sculpt, the only bit I created was the base

    1. Thank you John, Daniel did an amazing job on it, especially at the time GW's version either had a squid head a cow

  3. Looks excellent Dave. I think the Keep of Secrets has to be one of my favourite Daemon designs GW did.

    1. Thank you Simon, it was certainly the most unusual, their new multi part plastic looks more like the Forgeworld one, which I may pick up at some point

  4. I love that model Dave, I had one myself years back but sold it on before I got to paint it but I remember the pain in making it, now who would have ever though pain & a Keeper of Secrets would go hand in hand ? :)

Smashing paint job, I've only now come across you're blog but will be signing up to keep an eye on what your up to :)
