Got a bumper crop for you all today, as I managed to finish multiple things all at the same time, let's start with a pair of IG assassin droids the one on the left I based off of IG-11 that appears in the series " The Mandalorian" the one on the right is a color scheme I made up, the kit comes with three different torso's and also two sets of each type of leg and arms, allowing you to make two exactly the same pose, just different torsos, I went with completely opposites.
I also got the two little probe droids to go with my seventh sister Inquisitor done.
Now onto my Rebellion section today, first a whole Rebel squad of Twileks, I combined up the heads from multiple kits to do this one.
The last painted squad today is the new Rebel Commando squad, nice kit even if this version doesn't have a Dressellian in it, which i would have liked.
Recently Azazael asked about the heads that came with each kit, so I thought I would list them for anyone who wanted to know, each of the new rebel kits (rebel squad, or commando's) comes with six human heads, 3 male and 3 female, 2 Mon Calamari, 2 Duros, 1 female Twilek, 1 young male Twilek, and 2 male Twilek, now this is the same for a 11 person squad, or a 7 person squad, the only reason I was able to do a full Twilek squad, was the starter box had 3 squads in it, so I could combine them up, hope this information helps anyone plan their purchases and squads. That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe and have fun !
Cheers Dave
Wow, that's quite a lot of (well done) work. I really enjoy them, but I have to say those Twi'lek are really something! Cool job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber, as I have so many human rebel models the opportunity to make a whole alien squad was too good to resist ! LOL
DeleteVery nice group of freedom fighters! Especially love the Twi'leks, those are some great figs for sure. Shame they'll all be taken down by the might of the Galactic Empire ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you Dai, was fun to do, and means I can play out some Ryloth ideas I've got, just need a couple of characters, and some Blurg riders ! LOL
DeleteThe Twi'lek look great, always been one of my favourite Star Wars races.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bodvoc, they are such a diverse species with color range, and seem to pop all over the place.
DeleteAnother lovely looking miniatures!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael, been a busy month so far ! LOL
DeleteEverything looks great as always but I really like seeing your take on the Rebel soldiers. You do an excellent job on those. Its also official the trademark for the name "The Machine" has been taken from Brian Cage (and Azazel too, though he can always win it back) and is now awarded to you! To be fair, Brian Cage being misused and/or under-utilized by AEW isn't a new thing at this point so it was only a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeff, all my rebels have been based off of the rebels from Rogue one, so a mix and mash of different colors, no real uniform code, I increased the diversity for the Twileks based on their appearances in the cartoon series. I will probably have to relinquish the title soon but that will be made clear in my next post. Brian is very under utilized and I don't get why they keep sticking him in factions !
DeleteAs said above, you are a a machine mate! that is a very impressive batch of miniatures you've churned out there, if I'd known you were only running this challenge to belittle the rest of us mortals I would never have agreed to take part!!! 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteCheers Roger.
Thank you Roger, the machine is now out of order for a little bit, which is why I've been pushing so hard up to now.
DeleteI like all of these, Dave, but the assassin droids are my favourites (along with the rebel with the binoculars)! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you John, they get a bit left behind as I actually got them for my birthday, but were great fun once I started to get paint on them.
