CHALLENGE ROUNDUP

I know this may seem late, but I wanted everyone to have plenty of time to get up any last minute models, then there is the time it takes to compile, especially with a two month challenge, but enough excuses on with the show.

azazelx created a wide range of submissions over the challenge including a vehicle, on top of all the individual models he painted.

Mark finished his Conquistador project with some great units, including some less well known ones.

Keith not only finished his current Star Trek miniatures but also got in a diorama, and another individual model on top.

Ivor changed his goal as he felt the ship needed extra parts that may have been difficult to get hold of at the moment and completed models from multiple genres and scenery as well.

Roger completed not only his Blood Bowl team, and Elvira model, but got in some additional 10 mm native Americans as well.

John managed to finish a load of WW2 vehicles, with some really obscure ones, and managed to paint pretty much one of every medium currently available to a modeller.

Simon not only completed his Blake's 7 models but managed to finish a load of Super models on top.

Joe managed to finish off  a mighty fine stall he made, and made great progress on his Chinese for the Wild West which he also converted, and are in 54 mm

Mick not only finished off many Nurgle models, but also worked in some Eldar too.

Matt once he had a painting area again was up and running with these mighty fine submissions.

Many thanks to all who took part, and all of your output, made this a good event which I may well make into a yearly event.

For myself I think I got a bit distracted with Fembruary and didn't actually finish my unit of Land speeders, but hopefully I can correct that with Ann's march-2021-neglected-painting-challenge and must also get round to posting up some T-shirts for Luke's Challenge so many to choose from ! LOL

That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  2. Thanks for this Dave, there was so good work done at the start of this year!

I know what you mean about pulling it all together, when I used to run the "Forgotten Heroes" website, I would have to go around all the blogs (as well as the E-mail only entries) and transfer/post them up every night otherwise it could easily get away from you!

    Cheers Roger.

    1. No problem Roger, it was good to give something different to focus on than the current situation.
It must have been very difficult, especially with that idiot who kept posting up more A.B.C. Warriors all the time ! LOL

And like everyone above, echoing thanks for putting this together and collecting the results 😀 There was a lot of really fantastic models completed - I just wish there was an easy way to follow everyone not using Blogger for those of us stuck using our phones for this stuff, and by us I mean me lol

    1. You are most welcome Ivor, in these strange times doing something to help others is a great feeling. I know what you mean, it's why I have the blog list, but even that doesn't help ! LOL

  7. Wow! Thanks for coordinating, collating and showcasing all these submissions, Dave. So much great stuff to see, so much talent on display. Very inspirational. And not only do you get to see hobbyists whose work you may be unaware of, you get to see miniatures you absolutely need to own at any cost, like that Bruce Lee model Simon did. I NEED IT!!!!!!
    Thanks for running this!

    1. Your welcome Keith, there was so many great submissions, glad I didn't run it as a competition as I would have had an impossible task choosing a winner. Sorry I caused you to spend more money again, that seems to be becoming a habit, perhaps I should go into exile for 6 months ! LOL

    1. Thank you Mark, I lost count of the hours to be honest going through all the posts finding the best pictures to use, but was well worth the time and effort to highlight all the great work everyone put in. When I run more challenges I will remember to collect pictures as I go, shouldn't feel such a big job that way ! LOL
