SEASON OF SCENERY 2026

Or in my case let's try that again, and get more than a drone done ! LOL As with previous years all scenery counts, whether small or large, scratchbuilt, MDF, resin it all counts, also if it's already part done, it will still count as long as it is finished between the 1 st of July and the 30 th of September, yes I will have it open for a full three months this year. As with previous years vehicles will count as well, and it doesn't matter your preferred scale, it's all about finishing scenery. Here are some of last years fantastic entries to get  you in the mood and also a huge thank you to all who did the extended edition, in the hopes I would be able to do some more myself, you are all heroes in my book..

Also I need to apologise to Mick who emailed me an entry last year, and it ended up in my spam, so while I was ill I completely missed his entry, so here it is now in full

If you would like to take part this year, leave me a comment below, or email me directly at wargamesterrainworkshop@yahoo.co.uk if your blog isn't one I currently follow please remember to include a link to your blog. That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

Well despite being behind on blog stuff one thing I do know is that I'm up for the challenge again this year Dave! :-) I think it is actually the only thing I plan ahead for! The fact that it's officially running for three months this year is good as I'm unlikely to run out of things to do!

  4. I aim to dedicate some time in the next three months to terrain and a tank or two, so please add my name to the roster for this Dave. :) (Let's see if I can do better than the Forgotten Heroes piss-poor lack-of effort...)

  11. So sorry to have missed this post Dave as it sounds amazing fun. There seems to be a lag or delay on some posts, I know mine are falling foul of it. My summer plans are quite figure centric but there might be the odd bit of terrain produced before September. If I do manage ti get any doe is it too late to join along?

    1. No worries on the lag, as it seems to be happening all over the place, any scenery posted up that was completed before the end of September would count if you do any, you could always do a Captain Caveman van to go with your Forgotten Heroes, as that would count.

    2. Fabulous! Funny you should mention the van, I have been tinkering on such a thing. I am also looking to finishing off some Silver Bayonet terrain as want to get a couple of games in over the summer. Do I just post them up and link back to this blog Dave?

    3. That's it just post them up, as I keep a check on all the blogs that have joined to collect pictures for the roundup, you can put a link if you want, but not required.

  12. I have some stuff I need to work on that doesn't fit into this category but I definitely have stuff that does fit so I'll see if I can squeeze some in, especially with the expanded entry timeline. If nothing else, I want to get something done better than the Mantic terrain I got done last year as seeing it again reminds me how much better the stuff I've been working on is! Thanks for putting this together and I'm looking forward to participating!

I've some more D&D terrain to make, and hopefully I'll get some more wargaming terrain done as well. Been in a bit of a slump recently, this should be just the thing to help break me out.

  14. Hi Dave - I have staggered over from the forgotten heroes stage where my medieval May (not a single figure completed) was overtaken by that challenge and currently I have now got a late Roman bug - no idea where that came from. Anyway I will participate in the scenery challenge and hopefully produce something! Previous challenges have made excellent inroads into my scenery pile so it’s been a very productive challenge for me. Thanks for running it Dave.
