APOCALYPSE ME ROUNDUP

Another challenge has come to an end, and now is the time for the roundup of what everyone did, and I have to say the quality, quantity and diversity was amazing.

First is Dave at https://phillipislandgamingsociety392176732.wordpress.com/ who completed multiple different types of zombies from Zombicide, an overpass piece of scenery survivors, a apocalypse version of himself, and a Zulk to name but a few.

Jeff added scenery and models for his Fallout gaming https://kuribospainting.com/ with some great attention to detail.

Roger over at https://rantingsfromunderthewargamestable.wordpress.com/ went full zombie for his entries, with each one having a back story on how they met they're end.

Matt at https://pmpainting.blogspot.com/ did survivors, zombies and scenery this year, and also added some back stories too.

Keith at http://angrypiper.com/ did an excellent repaint of an Heroclix model, and some great looking base work.

Simon at https://www.fantoricalwargaming.com/ worked on some Judge Dredd models which is an apocalyptic setting in itself, but chose to work on a storyline Judgement Day which is a zombie apocalypse

https://deadleadproject.blogspot.com/ did zombies and survivors over the challenge.

I didn't get a massive amount done for this challenge, as I am getting ready for my first show in 2 years, and there's a lot to get done, but I did manage a dome tent, camp fire, and a apocalypse version of myself.

Hope you all enjoyed the challenge whether taking part or just following along, so that's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  2. there has been some great stuff done over the last month Dave, obviously with you running this alongside Zom'tober a lot of the apocalypses have lent very much toward the "Undead rising" variety 😉, but thanks so much for running this, it's been a blast mate.

    Cheers Roger.

    1. No problem Roger, indeed a lot of zombies, but at least the apocalypse setting allowed a few other entries, plus some scenery as well with Jeff's request. Thanks for being a part of it mate.

    1. There was some truly inspirational work by everyone who took part, the next challenge will be the " Paint What you Got" challenge that starts on Boxing day and runs until the end of January, which can be new models you got for Xmas or something that has been sat needing attention, and will include vehicles and scenery as well.

Loads of nice minis and scenery there, Dave, so thanks for running it and posting up the entries! :-) Well done to everyone involved! If I can't manage to get something painted for your next challenge I'll need a damn good telling off!

    1. No problem Jeff, happy to host these events, especially if it helps clear a bit of the backlog of models that need paint. So many great entries, hopefully you can take part in a few more of the challenges next year.

    While I'm sad I missed it in 2021, I'm sure I'll be all-in in 2022 as long as I realise it's happening.
