WHO ARE YOU ?

Continuing on with the denizens of the cantina I've managed to make a few more, so you may remember so you may not.

First is Dice Ibegon, now he appeared in both the original and the special addition, in the original he was growled at by Lak Sivrak, and by Ketwol in the special edition.

Next is Ketwol who only appeared in the special edition.

This is Kardue'sal'malloc, who appeared in both versions of the film, and actually had a screen shot of just him.

This M'ilyoom Onith, who appeared in both versions.

Next is Reegesk, who appeared in both versions, you only see him for a second or two on the right hand side of the screen when our heroes enter the cantina.

This next one is Tzizvvt, he is such a background character, that I had to rely on promo shots and Palitoy models to get all the details. The design reminds me of a 1950's horror film.

The last one today is Kitik Keed'kak, and is another extremely background character, reminds me of a preying mantis wearing a skirt.

It was good to actually have a use for the bar room furniture I made a while back, rather than models just standing around them.

CommUNITy ROUNDUP

 I've left the roundup longer than last time to give everyone enough time to post up their entries, as last time I jumped the gun and missed a couple of Azazael's posts.

SCULPT, PAINT, REPEAT

 Carrying on with my original Star Wars project, I've got a few more characters for the cantina finished. First up is the band, when I sculpted the one for Jabba's Palace I took a mould so that when I came to do the cantina band I would only have to do conversions, rather than complete sculpts, one had a instrument the same as Jabba's Palace just needed to be painted in a different colour, the rest either needed just arms and instruments, apart from the sitting one which needed a lot more.

The one on the left is called Nalan Cheel, next is Doikk Na'ts, the one sitting is Tech Mo'r, next is  Ickabel G'ont, then we have Figrin D'an, and last in the row Tedn Dahai.

I've also got the two Jawas for the cantina finished, using the blank I made a while ago, so here is Het Nkik and Reegesk.

I've also painted Boshek for the cantina, this was a WOTC model which I repainted.

As you can see from the reference picture he also had a helmet, but I decided to not bother with this.

This next model wasn't in the cantina, but was in Mos Eisley an Asp droid

He appeared in the extended version thumping a smaller droid as the heroes entered on their speeder.

This last set today is a repaint of my own work, originally my Trondoshan Hunters looked like this, I wasn't overly happy with them but they were finished.

After watching an episode of Clone Wars, I found this reference sheet.

So I repainted my hunters to this.

I feel a lot happier with them now, as they are now based of of characters that actually appeared in the franchise. I could have converted the clothing to get them closer, but decided a relevant paint scheme would be enough.

THIS R2 UNIT HAS GOT A BAD MOTIVATOR

 This phrase turned out to be inaccurate as we found out later on, as it was in fact an R5 unit, at the time Luke was a simple farm boy, so I suppose we can let him off ! LOL

After working on Dark Eldar all last month, I wanted to return to my Star Wars project so decided to paint up a few more astromech's.

This first batch are all R5 units

On the left is R5-D4 who was first seen in episode 4 and was the unit that blew his motivator, in the expanded universe we found out he was a rebel spy, and recently he appeared in "The Mandolorian"

In the middle is R5-K6 who appeared in the original trilogy.

The last one is R5-U8 who appears in Star Wars Rebels.

Next up are some R2 units

On the left is R2-K2, this was first done as a promotional droid to help raise funds for Breast Cancer research, and has since appeared in Star Wars Rebels.

In the centre is R2-C4 and appeared in the original trilogy.

On the right is R2-A6 and also appeared in the original trilogy.

Last droid today is an R4 unit

I've based this on an Imperial courier droid that appeared in Star Wars Rebels, as my previous two selections ended up being ones I've already done, really need to pay attention to what I've already done ! LOL

This next model is a shapeshiffter like the one that appeared in Episode 2 " Attack of the Clones" this model had been sat in the pile of no idea of what to do with since I got it as I'd already painted one on the movie, until watching the Clone Wars cartoon noticed another shapeshiffter and while finding reference pictures found another two from the expanded universe.
