A huge thank you to everyone for their suggestions on where I could look to for new subjects for side projects within the Star Wars realm, I intend to get to all of them at some point, I'm starting with the Pod racers, is that a strange place to start as it's a different time period and most of them died during the race, probably ! LOL but as you can see from the picture below, there were a lot of the same species in the crowd as the racers, and the Boonta Eve race, carries on even up to the time period of the Mandalorian !
First today I have Mawhonic, who is a Gran, as he is small for the species, I used a GW zombie as a dolly for this one, which saved on greenstuff, and made it quicker for sculpting.
Next today is Dud Bolt, who is a Vulptereen, this was a complete scratch build with frame and greenstuff.
Last today is Ben Quadrinarol, who is a Toong, this was also a full sculpt with frame and greenstuff.
I've had to cover the bad sculpting with paint to hide the scrapiness of the sculpts, but they will do as crowd fillers walking around the city. Here is a group shot to show their varying sizes.
There were 18 pod racers in the section of the movie, I can find a 3D print of Sebulba, and I can do children based off of the look of Anakin, these two are part of the 11 racers that get shown in the movie, there is 6 you don't even get a glimpse of, but I've found what they should look like as well, so expect to see more racers in the future.
