UPDATE

Greetings, firstly my deepest apologies for not commenting on any of your awesome sites, I have been reading them all and they very much have helped keep me entertained during my absence. I may well be away from the computer for a while longer, but while I had this opportunity I wanted to give an update as many people had been asking on their blogs, or in comments, or emails, all very much appreciated.

So what's been going on, well about a month ago I got a pain in my ribs, didn't think too much about it, as I get ghost sensations of broken ribs with my Fibromyalgia on a regular basis ( been fighting this horrible disease now for 18 Years), over the week I found it harder and harder to catch my breath, saw my Doctor the following Monday, who sent me in straight away for tests, turns out I had fluid on my left lung, over the next two weeks I had over 5 liters of fluid drained from my lung, and need to go back in again, to have more drained. Yesterday I got the results from the biopsy that was taken, and the tests on the fluid, and I have Cancer, that was caused by Asbestos, I have already been referred to Oncology, and just waiting on their recommendations on treatment, and when we can start. This form of Cancer isn't curable, but can be held at bay with the right treatment, so I should still be around for a long time, as we have caught this early, and the Specialist said with my age being younger (who's he kidding I'm in my 50's ! LOL) and my strength ( ! WTF ! LOL) we have a good chance of stopping it advancing, so I'm not out of the fight yet.

What does this mean for Season of Scenery, well my output maybe very slow, especially as My disabled bathroom is being started next week, and likely to take three weeks, but much needed. Keep posting up your fantastic entries as there as been so many already, and I will do a summary post at the end as always obviously giving everyone time to get their final posts up, so until next time stay safe, and have fun !

BRIEF UPDATE ON MY ABSENCE

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been commenting on your mighty fine blogs, or even replying to comments on my own blog, there is a very simple answer to this, For the last week, and this coming week I have been in and out of hospital, I have a procedure booked for Wednesday, where they will hopefully be able to drain two thirds of my left lung of fluid, and also find out the cause of this. Hopefully then everything will return to normal and I can catch up on all your great content. The ones I receive by email I have been able to read, which has helped keep the sanity, while undergoing so many tests, exams and scans. Hopefully talk soon, so until then stay safe and have fun !

DON'T DRONE ON

Back when I started my Night Hawk army, I spent a long time thinking about what there Dreadnoughts would look like. As The army was mostly flight based, I thought a flying dreadnought would fit, unfortunately my opponents weren't too happy with a very quick dreadnought that had two heavy weapons with a pair of rending claws.  To be honest I can see there point, but what to do with the first one I built, with my recent painting of this project I came up with a new idea, what if I made it into a drone, now this would mean weaker armour than a dreadnought, and also no rending attack as they would be landing claws only, also I thought that having a controller on the board for it would give two ways of taking it out, as if the controller was killed the drone would no longer have any function.

This is a repaint of my original one to bring the colour scheme more up to date, the V is because I have another four of the old advanced space crusade chaos dreadnought to transform into more drones. I have a question which I'd like your opinion on, should the controllers be Servitors, Marines, or tech Marines ? I can see arguments for each so would value your opinion. That's all for today, so until next time stay safe, and have fun !

TOTAL FAIL

Yes it's true I have failed a painting challenge for the first time in my blogging history, even worse it's one where conversions and sculpting are key, which is kind of my go to, no excuses from me just couldn't get it done in time so how far did I get, the  bulk of the body is done, just missing some details, the legs are in varying states, and only one completed. the brain is sculpted and painted, still need to cast the color resin around it, so all in all about 50% done.

Will have to do way better next year as it's the 10 th anniversary of Forgotten Heroes, as I always try to beat my score from the previous year, that's another fail this year, but sets the bar low for next year ! LOL That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !
