ANN'S NEGLECTED MODELS CHALLENGE ROUNDUP

To make life easier for Ann for her challenge roundup, I've collected all the models into one post for her. Not to just show what I already have done already, I have 4 more models to show first. First up is the first Landspeeder Tsunami, that has been sat waiting for far too long to have colour.

Next is a unit of basic landspeeders that I have modified for the sleeker style I prefer.

I had hoped to finish my last large flyer for my chapter, but ran out of one of the colours, I had ordered with time to spare, but still waiting on delivery of the paint, oh the joys of Covid ! LOL

The rest are the Battlefleet Gothic ships I have shown over the last month.

That's all for this post, next time will probably be some weird wild west pieces. So until next time stay safe and have fun !

TWO FLEETS TO THE WIND

Continuing on with finishing my fleets I've got two major parts done for two of my fleets and will all count towards my entry for Ann's Neglected Models Challenge. First up is my Night Hawks.

This first model is the Space Marine Battlebarge, my fleet only has one, as in the background two were lost to the warp on they're maiden voyage ( a full strength fleet has 3 Barges). The only addition I added to this model was the hawk at the back, which came from one of the Imperial vessels.

Next is the four Strike Cruisers ( normally 6 in a fleet, but two lost to the warp) each model had a hawk added coming from multiple sources including one scratchbuilt.

The above are the three classes of escort ship that Forgeworld produced to use instead of the Imperial escorts, fleets don't have set numbers of these, but I only got round to picking up one set of each, so these will have to do.

Next I have the Desolator class Battleship for my Emperors Children fleet, this is a completely standard model, which I've done in my normal pink and black colour scheme.

Above are the 5 different heavy cruisers that I made out of the plastic kits, a couple have small conversions to make them look more like the artwork in the rulebook.

I have started work on some Fighters and bombers for both fleets, I'm using the Forgeworld Thunderhawk Gunships, of which I have about 20 of, but may make some smaller fighters based off of one of the other flyers they can use.

The Chaos fighter and bomber are based off the 40K versions Forgeworld released, got the basics done but need to add some more detail.

I was never a fan of the Chaos escort ships they released so I'm going to build some based off the Harbinger that Forgeworld released for Aeronauticus as I like the shape a lot more and fits with the fighters and bombers.

That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !

CHALLENGE ROUNDUP

I know this may seem late, but I wanted everyone to have plenty of time to get up any last minute models, then there is the time it takes to compile, especially with a two month challenge, but enough excuses on with the show.

azazelx created a wide range of submissions over the challenge including a vehicle, on top of all the individual models he painted.

Mark finished his Conquistador project with some great units, including some less well known ones.

Keith not only finished his current Star Trek miniatures but also got in a diorama, and another individual model on top.

Ivor changed his goal as he felt the ship needed extra parts that may have been difficult to get hold of at the moment and completed models from multiple genres and scenery as well.

Roger completed not only his Blood Bowl team, and Elvira model, but got in some additional 10 mm native Americans as well.

John managed to finish a load of WW2 vehicles, with some really obscure ones, and managed to paint pretty much one of every medium currently available to a modeller.

Simon not only completed his Blake's 7 models but managed to finish a load of Super models on top.

Joe managed to finish off  a mighty fine stall he made, and made great progress on his Chinese for the Wild West which he also converted, and are in 54 mm

Mick not only finished off many Nurgle models, but also worked in some Eldar too.

Matt once he had a painting area again was up and running with these mighty fine submissions.

Many thanks to all who took part, and all of your output, made this a good event which I may well make into a yearly event.

For myself I think I got a bit distracted with Fembruary and didn't actually finish my unit of Land speeders, but hopefully I can correct that with Ann's march-2021-neglected-painting-challenge and must also get round to posting up some T-shirts for Luke's Challenge so many to choose from ! LOL

That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !
