When my daughter was looking for presents for me she found a 3D print of Jon Favreau holding an E-Web cannon, and thought I would appreciate it, although had no idea what I could use it for, well I'm going to add it to my Rebel forces.
What would have been a ideal was a model of Dave Filoni as well, but she couldn't find one, so based on his appearance in the Mandalorian as a pilot within the New Republic, I made a version of him as a rebel.
Here is the dynamic duo together, I suppose the title of the post my guns bigger than yours, but it's not a competition ! LOL
Next are two characters that were in Star Wars Rebels which was Dave's work from the Inquisitors the 5th Brother and 7th Sister.
That's all for today, so until next time stay safe, and have fun !
Cheers Dave
Really nice work, but you made me chuckle with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni XD
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber, as they've done the best Star Wars in recent years, I thought they were a fitting tribute ! LOL
DeleteYour daughter should be commended for knowing you well enough to pick those gifts out for you. That is going pretty obscure with Star Wars, I'd have to say! These are some really fun minis and I look forward to hearing how Jon fares on the battlefield. He's played so many inept characters in other movies that I imagine he'd fit in with the stormtroopers better than the Rebels if you know what I mean haha!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeff, my daughter totally gets me ! LOL She say's it's getting harder to find models for me, as I have so many, and have built so many, that even 3D printing is behind me ! LOL He has indeed, but also played three Mandalorians and the four armed alien in Solo, so I'll give him a chance as a Rebel ! LOL
DeleteExcellent looking figures, I've got no idea who anyone is but they look nice!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you Iain, the first two are technically executive producers for a lot of the new Star Wars series, both cartoon and live action, the Inquisitors play a big roll in series based around the time of the Empire.
DeleteVery cool mate - The title told me the first one was Jon but it was looing at the second model when I thought "is that Dave Filoni?" Inquisitors look great as well, and as long as you don't add in KK you won't lose me! ;D
ReplyDeleteThank you Azazael, I felt the same way the first time I spotted him in one of the series ! LOL Been wracking my brain and can't think who KK is, so very little chance of me adding them ! LOL
DeleteKathleen Kennedy. :o
DeleteOf course my bad ! LOL Must have deleted her from the old memory banks for some reason, so no chance of me doing one of her ! LOL
DeleteTerrific work Dave. Are the the Inquisitors official figures, or more 3D prints..? They look very good regardless.
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon, the Inquisitors are official Legion models, just with added clear red rod for the lightsabres, Jon is a 3D print, but Dave was a conversion from some spare legion parts, and a fair bit of greenstuff ! LOL
DeleteNicely done, Dave! :-) Nice to have some special characters in there as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you John, to be honest I think of all my models as characters in their own right rather than just rank and file, who knows I may even give my stormtroopers TK numbers ! LOL Maybe that's going too far, but you never know ! LOL
DeleteExcellent. This led to an enjoyable hour of Internet browsing as I found out more about them.
ReplyDeleteThank you misterc, it's funny how quick the time can go when you head down that rabbit hole ! LOL
DeleteWow - cowboy hats in a galaxy far, far away? :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post with some amusing sculpts - though the Inquisitors are by far my fav's of the bunch previewed here.
Thank you Dai, he's made four appearances so far, two with an X-Wing pilot helmet on and two with his trademark cowboy hat, so thought I'd go with that ! LOL The Inquisitor sculpts are good, but very shallow on the faces again, would like to get the other Brothers and sisters, but will have to look to 3D prints for them.
