Today I have the box of scout troopers I got for my birthday, I think I now have enough scout's as this makes 14 troops, 6 bikers and 4 with E-Webb cannon's from Imperial Assault, which is a pretty strong contingent I think. Below is the 3 specialised troops, sergeant, sniper, and demolition trooper.
Below is the standard 4 troopers that come in the box.
I know that we never saw scout's on Tatooine, but for all we know they could have been in the garrison for all we know ! LOL I'm going to call this contingent of my Imperial forces done, but still plenty more to go. That's all for this post, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !
Cheers Dave
I always loved the look of scout troopers, these look really nice mate
ReplyDeleteThank you Andy, I have always been partial to Scout troopers myself, ever since their first outing in Return of the Jedi.
DeleteVery nice, Dave, they look really good! :-) The variation in the figures is nice and I really like the sergeant!
ReplyDeleteThank you John, these are all standard models, so the kit comes with a great variety of poses, the only thing different on this squad is have the sergeant with his bino's up to his face plate ! LOL
DeleteOh, I love them so much! They look weathered as they should, the pics are so immersive!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber, these are a bit heavier on the weathering compared to the first squad I did, but I figure they've just been in the field longer ! LOL Trying to utilise the different scenery I've done to make more interesting shots.
Deletenice job.
ReplyDeletebut I always thought it was funny that troops had different helmets / etc depending on their role.
like if someone said to regular STs "I need you guys to scout ahead" they would say "yessir, but first we need to change helmets."
Thank you Stewart, I think if George Lucas remade the original Star Wars, we would see a lot of different Imperials in the many settings, maybe not snow troopers, but many of the different ones we have seen in later movies and series, Andor and the Mandalorian are good examples of this. I think the biggest thing during the movies was budget, which is why so many things were repurposed, like the TIE pilot outfit changing colour and becoming an AT-AT pilot ! LOL
DeleteNice looking scouts, you definitely have enough to run a small skirmish with just them.
ReplyDeleteThank you SD, yes It is a fair size contingent, I'd like to get more Sandtroopers, some shoretroopers, as a specialist unit, I think their sand colour uniforms would work well on Tatooine, I'd also like to increase the riot control and rocket trooper sections, I think my Imperials will be done then ! LOL
DeleteNice work again on these! The camo pattern looks great on them, but I hope you'll also have some classic white-armoured scouts in your troop pool as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Azazael, the first unit I did has a lot less dirt on them so looks more like the originals ! LOL
DeleteExcellent work and the scenery almost outshines the miniatures, its so good! In a relatively recent Star Wars video game I played, the Scout Troopers were on all kinds of planets so I think they've become more ubiquitous over time. Star Wars has a tendency to do that where a character or design is created that's really good and you start to see it pop up in more and more things afterwards.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeff, high praise on the scenery, which means I'm heading in the right direction. I think there is one class of stormtrooper that is safe from being deployed elsewhere and that's the snowtrooper ! LOL The rest seem fair game on any planet to be honest.
DeleteIf you think of the time difference between the first and third film, techniques had improved, new processes had been developed, so more intricate suits could be made, the only reason the scout trooper was created was a normal stormtrooper didn't look right on the bike ! LOL
