TIE PILOT'S ON PATROL !

If you watched Star Wars Rebels the series, you will have seen an episode where TIE pilots were actually sent out doing normal troopers work, as every man was needed to find a missing Rodian who had the Imperials data that could spell trouble on Lothal. For me however I'll probably just be using them as pilots that survive crashing their vehicles during games. this also means I have finished all the conversions and painting of what I received for my birthday, not a bad turnaround for me, just over a month to complete my haul, while busy with all the commission work I needed to do.

Still want to get some transfers for the helmets to finish them off, but that can wait for another day.

That's all for this post, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  1. Absolutely perfect. Besides, the gloss on the armour vs the clothes gives them the perfect touch. I love them

    1. Thank you Suber, if I'd had a good satin varnish I would have put that on the boots and gloves to give them more of a leather feel.

  2. Those would be some tiny decals - I wouldn't envy you having to apply them! Another great looking set of pilots, Dave. :)

    1. Thank you Azazael, by my measurement about 2 mm so not much fun at all, could be worse I could be trying to paint them ! LOL

  3. Wow, that is quite a turnaround, Dave! I bought myself some Fallout miniatures around the time of my birthday and I haven't gotten past priming so kudos to you. Even though we rarely see the pilots in action, I think they're still pretty dangerous and cool looking myself. I guess you have to be to want to fly in one of those death traps known as a Tie Fighter!

    1. Thank you Jeff, my painting desk is pretty full at the moment so needed to clear some space quickly ! LOL Indeed they are not the most common seen, but cool none the less, for me it's about being able to field them if a vehicle crashes and they manage to survive, or the scenario could be that the rebels and Imperials are looking for a crashed TIE to either rescue or interrogate for information.

These are brilliant, Dave! :-) TIE fighter pilots are some of my favourite characters from Star Wars!

    1. Thank you John, they really are iconic aren't they, and the black shiny armour just makes them so intimidating.
