SCAR FACE

No I haven't started gang warfare or mob gaming, but finished my last Great Gnarloc, so why scar face ? I went heavy on the facial scar tissue, to show that this one rushes in, and adds to the running pose, I looked at how Ostriches run, to help with a correct pose, as both are large flightless birds.

Painting wise, I stuck to the normal recipe, with a slight tonal variance. As promised last time, here is a group shot of all six together for the first time.

I think I'm done on these now, and can't see a need to make anymore, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  1. Absolutely lovely. Not that I'd like to meet them face-to-beak.

  3. I hope you aren't selling or using coke either, Dave! ;) Seeing all of those Gnarlocs on the tabletop is really impressive. They take up a lot of room but perhaps I shouldn't be surprised by that considering they're big birds (though not the Big Bird, to be fair!). It looks like the equivalent of fielding 6 or 7 tanks!

    1. Thank you Jeff, only have prescription drugs in my house ! LOL Took a while , but happy with them all now, yes they are pretty much an equivalent of a tank from another army, got a scenario in mind of a caravan of these come under attack, and then have to survive until reinforcements arrive.

    1. Thank you Mr. Martin, I only game at home now, so it tends to be what armies I have against each other, My Kroot is the smallest at the moment, as it started as a tournament list, so this was a quick way to bulk up the army ! LOL

    1. Thank you SD, I've got a little on some others, but as this one was rushing in head long, I thought it would add to his character and story.

    1. Thank you Stewart, yes they evolved from alien birds as did all the Kroot species, except the chameleon species that the lone spear rides.
