PAINT WHAT YOU GOT 2024/2025 ROUNDUP

Sorry it's a bit later than normal, but between health and orders I'm running behind. This year we have some returning participants and some new people as well, so without further ado here are this years entries :

justneedsvarnish John added some units for existing armies, and also finished some steam punk additions, for his alternative Alien invasion.

dagobbosgrotto Andy brought an old army to life for playing " The Old World" and finished units that have been sat untouched for a long time.

kuribospainting Jeff did a competition level Dwarf Bust.

thewargamingerratic Lorenzo finished off multiple units for different time periods.

dagreenhorde Snapfit got a Wyvern finished in time to count for Year of The Dragon challenge as well, and also did a great conversion of a Savage Orc palanquin

jonhobbydesk Jonny got a bucket load of Battletech models and scenery, plus some Chaos marines and a Ranger.

spacedinosaurminis SD got a whole flotilla of ships done for Black Seas

markamorin Mark got a bunch of scenery, markers and models done for his Wars of Ozz project done

azazelx Azazael got a lot of scenery and a bunch of models finished again this year.

periodicpainting Welcome misterc to the challenge who got characters, townsfolk, monsters and scenery done for his Rangers of Shadow Deep games.

thesafehole Welcome to Mr. Martin who got a lot of Dead Man's hand cowboys done, and some characters for D&D

tarmor21  Tarmor got s different factions of spaceships done.

hobbies.deimos-legion  Welcome Notavi, who did some models based on the colours from a photograph he took.

convertordie Wudughast got a couple of models finished, one of which he wants to use for Trench crusade, but would easily fit in a lot of sci-fi settings.

For myself, I might have added to my Star Wars project, and got a few new models painted for some of my 40K armies and a few Fantasy miniatures as well.

Another great year, and thank you to all who participated, and supported all these talented hobbyists. Hopefully I haven't missed anybody, or any of their work, and as always you can find more pictures of all their fantastic work through the relevant links. That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !
Cheers Dave

  7. Paint What You Got probably didn't mean a single bust but alas, that was all I managed this time. It is amazing to see how much work some hobbyists got done and all of it at a high quality. Next year I'll try and manage to time it better and get more stuff done hopefully!

    1. As I have said before, it doesn't matter if it's one or twenty, it's the taking part and getting models finished, and don't forget you were painting to competition level. Who knows maybe one year we could do an end of the shame pile challenge, as we all finish every model we have left to paint, probably not, as we would all have to stop buying more models ! LOL

  8. Great round up Dave, I enjoy seeing the vast range of miniatures everyone is working on. Most hobbists seem to pick a theme to finish off in the two months.

    1. Thank you for being a part of it Jonny, I think for some it's easier to focus on one subject, where others spread there time on multiple, but what ever works for the individual is the right move, and it all counts in this challenge.
