Firstly I'd like to wish all the followers, commentators and casual drop ins a very merry Christmas !
Now to the challenge, as with last years it is open on scale, and subject matter, it just has to be completed between the 26 th of December, and the 31 st of January, this can include models that were started before this date. You can include scenery and vehicles, you set your targets.
For me I hope to clear some existing projects, and if I'm lucky enough to get some new models for Christmas, I may include some of them as well.
Here are some examples from last years challenge
Some of us are going to try and clear some Judge Dredd miniatures, so if you want to join in on that subject, you are more than welcome, if you would like to take part, leave a comment below, and if yours is a blog I don't follow, leave a link in your comment.
That's all for this post, so until next time stay safe and have fun !
Cheers Dave
Looking forward to this, Dave. Have a whole host of untouched and partially-painted 2000A.D. characters ready for the challenge. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Simon, found some Dredd mini's ready for the challenge.
DeleteI'm up for this, Dave! :-) Can't manage any Judge Dredd or 2000 A.D. minis, but maybe I should try something with a sci-fi background to it (although not sure what)! Hope you enjoy the Christmas break!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board John, doesn't have to be sci-fi mate unless that's what you want to do, and look forward to seeing what you choose.
DeleteCount me in for this one, Dave, I've got a bunch of minis I can do. And happy Christmas to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Matt, and Merry Christmas to you too.
DeleteI’m down to get my paint on post Xmas for this Dave! Only Dredd fig I have tho is Judge Minty, but otherwise I think I’ll keep plugging on my Burrows and Badgers collection. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Dai, look forward to seeing more of your Burrows and Badgers, and if you can manage Judge Minty, that would be awesome.
DeleteWell, you know I'll be in for this one. If I can get to them, I may even show a bit of solidarity and paint a couple of my Judges. Green or gold pads is the question, though... I guess it's all down to how they're sculpted?
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Azazael, would be great to see some of your judges, always a tough call on pad colours, I know I deviated on a Brit Cit judge, but I thought it looked better ! LOL
DeleteWell, even 2000AD are inconsistent on the pad colours! I might leave it to the sculpts and go green on "soft" looking pads and gold on the harder looking ones.
DeleteThat is very true mate, a lot seems to depend on the artist and inker, and their interpretation, I say go with what you like the look of, as at the end of the day they are your models.
DeleteI'm in as I should have this large piece of scenery I'm working on now done by then. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with and thanks in advance goes to you for putting it together!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Jeff, look forward to seeing your scenery piece develop, and your Hellboy models would count as well
DeleteWell you already know I'm in, but I'll just confirm my entry here, 😀
ReplyDeleteCheers Roger.
Great to have you on board Roger, wouldn't be the same without you, and looking forward to seeing you paint up, your little robot ! LOL
DeleteGreat challenge Dave, but it shold run over five years as most of us will neb=ver finish all the unpainted lead and plastic we've amassed !
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all those joining the challenge, sadlty I won't be !
LOL Joe, would 5 years be enough ! It wouldn't for my pile ! ROFL Can you imagine the roundup required for a challenge that long, It would take me a year to do ! Shame you can't take part, but fully understand.
DeleteAh go on, I'm in Dave, but not going to tax myself to much so it will be just one model that I want to get done :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Frank, and that's the joy of this challenge, you set the target, so you are just as welcome to join in mate.
DeleteOh alright, I'll try and get a half finished unit off the table then, sounds a bit like Dick Emery but you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Great to have you on board Iain, and hope all goes well with the analogue painting challenge as well.
DeleteDefinitely in and thanks for reminding me about my War Dogs! I'm in - we'll see with what of course...
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you on board Mark, no problem on the reminder, it was hard to only pick a few pictures ! LOL Look forward to seeing what you do.
DeleteHey Dave!

No problem at all, and welcome on board, I normally leave it about 10 days after the end of the challenge before doing the roundup, as I know some of the participants could still be posting up their entries.
