FORCED MARCH Part 6

You'd think with Monday's post being unrelated I'd have more to show today, but my hand has really been playing up, so anything finished was a bonus ! LOL So what have I got ? First up a Auxiliary Defence Squad, what's one of those I hear you say, well it's a squad I've come up with for my Night Hawks. Each company of Marines is normally 100 men plus support, as my third company and half of the fifth company are devastator squads I have some spare troops, as my devastator squads are only 5 man teams, giving me 75 marines in total for defence  of outposts and their monastery. The squad consists of a squad leader, and four troopers with specialised weapons.

I went with two plasma guns and two melta guns, this should help defend against vehicles and strong monsters and characters. Next today I have a jetbike for my second company, this brings me to a grand total of 3 completed so far.

As I need another 100 + I really need to increase my productivity of these ! LOL That's all for today, hopefully I can get something else finished before the end of the challenge, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

    1. Thank you Michal, it's taken a long time to settle on all the details, so good to see it finally see it come to fruition.

  2. I like the left-most marine, just holding the plasma gun ready for the next fool to pop it's head up. Good posing.

Another lovely bunch matey and I like the reasoning behind them, though don't let the Inquisitors hear that the Night Hawks are fecking about and modifying Codex rules.

Jet bike bloke is a nice dynamic pose too. Almost Napoleonic cavalry style you see in old oil paintings.

    1. Thank you, that one and the one with the meltagun pointing were the biker torsos, once added to normal legs became very dynamic ! LOL As for getting the attention of Inquisitors it's something my chapter excels at ! LOL
He was the sergeant from the biker squad, with an added feather cloak, to add an impression of wind rushing past, I think the full out stretch adds a lot to the pose, without going to the point of impossible.

  4. Sorry to hear about your hand, Dave and I hope you feel better soon. This is great progress on your 40k collection or well, it seems like to me. I suppose if you've thousands more to work on than its just a drop in the bucket but you know what I mean! :) I'm really impressed by how dynamic the jetbike guy is. He looks ready for action!

    1. Thank you Jeff, I start to get over one problem and another crops up ! LOL Hopefully it wont stop me. I think I've got the models for half the project, which are close to completion, just leaves another 300 or so, so maybe a project I'll never finish, but it's something to keep me out of mischief, and aim for ! LOL

    1. Thank you Simon, me to, as it's making painting harder too, sculpting was already a problem. I do like the color scheme, even though each one takes so much work, but worth it to me.

  6. The pose of that jetbike is so well done, can just hear the whoosh.

    1. Thank you SD, the torso and sword arm are standard single piece, but the angling and adding the left arm spread totally changes the dynamics of the pose. If I'm ever unsure if a pose is feasible, I try it out physically myself, stops any unnatural poses ! LOL

    1. Thank you Roger, indeed it's what I've been doing so far, but I think this is a new problem as it's affecting both hands in the same way, like I needed something new ! LOL
