FORCED MARCH Part 4

Small update today for Keith's Forced March Challenge the last squad of Stormtroopers that I got at Christmas, I think this should be the last Stormtroopers I need, the only other ones I'd get are specialised troops like the rocket troopers, as I only have four of those. The first half are three body types, but I swapped the weapons on two to get some variation, so the Rocket Launcher and heavy blaster are on stood models instead of kneeling for this squad.

The next three body types are below and I found that you can turn the head and get a different look as well.

Here's the group shot of the entire squad.

The only Star Wars models left now is a squad of Wookies, and the Luke model I'm saving for Forgotten Heroes, with the Wookies I'm thinking of painting them up for Clone Wars, as I already have quite a few for the Rebellion, and they are a rarity in that timeline. That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  2. What a great section of TK's! Just got done watching Andor for the 4th time, along with yet another viewing of Rogue One and believe me, I was SOOOO tempted to go online and source some Star Wars minis..... (But I held firm. Darnit.)

    1. Thank you Dai, can fully understand rewatching great series and film, and you must be much stronger in the force, as my will power when it comes to Star Wars is very low ! LOL

    1. Thank you Suber, adds a little variation to the units, and if need be I can always mix them into the old Fantasy Flight squads as well ! LOL

  4. Very jealous of all the stormtroopers you've painted, Dave. I really need to knuckle down and get enough of my own done so I can actually play a game with them - hopefully these sorts of posts will gee me up into doing so. LOL!!

    1. Thank you Simon, it can be very daunting when it gets to several squads that need painting, it's why I try to keep on top of them now ! LOL I should have enough now to fill a 6 foot by 4 foot board with patrols, especially if I use the old Imperial Assault ones as well ! LOL

  6. Good to know you can get some variety just by changing the position on the heads! I have some clone troopers that are looking a little "samey" after that first squad came together. They look great, Dave!

    1. Thank you Grimmleigh's fiends, you can do arm swaps as well, but that is a lot more work as sometimes you need to cut pins off or reshape them to get them to fit, plus fill in the gaps. As I have a lot of the original squads as well, I'll mix them all up so you don't get two models the same in one squad ! LOL

  7. Excellent work on these troopers, Dave! They are an imposing sight gathered together and the weathering is spot-on as well!

    1. Thank you Jeff, I find if I do all the weathering wash at the same time I can add some variation better by not repeating areas and also getting stronger tone at the beginning to at the end ! LOL
