As the dust starts to settle the first year of the scenery challenge is now over, I have been impressed at the amount and variety that everyone has produced, and would like to thank everyone that has taken part, and even expressed an interest but wasn't able to finish anything in time, as we all know time can dissapear quickly !
rantingsfromunderthewargamestable Roger produced two pieces in the end, an apocalyptic pond and a shed
warthroughtheages Harry managed to finish his scratchbuilt windmill, and a wild west building as well
azazelx Azazel used the challenge to complete his crashed Aquilla, underground entrance hatch, dug in tank hull, traffic pylons, Gorkamorka junk piles, Thermic plasma conduits, battlefield pikes, Alchomite stack machinery, trap tiles, barriers, mantic terrain crate bits, stone bridge, outpost vents, observation platform, rocky outcrops, urban scatter terrain, and stairs.
pmpainting Matt didn't quite get his cottage finished, but what he had done was looking great, and house moving can easily stop play !
angrypiper Keith managed to finish a great looking sump pool.
fantorical Simon managed to get some bits for his Adeptus Titanicus scenery finished
tarmor got some great pillars done
onelover-ray Ray did a whole camp.
justneedsvarnish John has done a Church and graveyard, now you may say he wasn't on the list, but as John said he didn't know he was going to do the challenge until it was finished ! LOL

Hope all who took part have had some fun, and even if you didn't manage to get something posted up in time, I thank you for the support with this challenge.
I feel it was a success this year and will make it a yearly event, but to cover both the northern and southern hemisphere it will be known as the the Season of Scenery challenge, or S.O.S. for short

No problem Roger, in difficult times it's good to give the community something else to focus on. Great to hear your already coming up with plans for next year already, I'm currently looking at several scenery projects as well, some may be done sooner though, I'm not a patient man ! LOL
DeleteAgreed he is a machine with his output ! I also posted too early as he has another three submissions so will have to do an additional post just for them, as with the new blogger you can't edit a post once it's had a comment ! Not a great change from my point of view !
Oh no not Blogger too, all I've been reading is people complaining about the latest changes to Wordpress and now Blogger has gone the same way!

ReplyDeleteI was surprised at the output to be honest Frank, and was so pleased with the amount of people who entered especially for a first year.
Deletefully understand on not taking part this year, but if you feel up to it next year would be glad to have you on board.
Wekk odne to all taking part, there's a gamut of ranges and style to enjoy,; it represent a lot of work providing us with all this beautiful eye-candy.

DeleteSo much cool stuff! Az is a freaking machine. Love the variety in all the entries. There are a couple tables worth of terrain here is love to play a game with.

The level of entries was staggeringly high, with so many fine entries from everyone. Agree Azazel was an absolute machine, especially as I've had to include more in the next post ! Gaming over all this would be awesome !
