THE FORCE WAS STRONG THIS CHRISTMAS

With Christmas over with for another year, I've been busy painting up some of my presents from Sarah and the children.
First up is the start of a small Bespin group, including Lobot, a guard, and a Twin Pod Cloud Car Pilot, thinking of using these on Tatooine occasionally as they arrive to procure supplies, or maybe for dealings with a less savoury element.

Next up is two rebel pilots, I've painted one in the usual colours, and one in blue squadron colours, which I thought would be appropriate as that was the colours I used on my X-Wing last year.

The last model today is Djas Puhr from the Cantina scene, makes one less model to build for that scene, so was very happy.

I have a couple more which I won't show until I've done the work needed on them, but want to show the start of a piece of scenery I got the Rebel Transporter which I will be turning it into the rusted version seen when entering Mos Eisley.

Hope you all had a great Christmas, that's all for this post, so until next time have fun !
Cheers Dave

  1. So pleased you have had a great Christmas Dave and a good looking haul to boot. I shall be watching with interest with regards to the Rebel Transporter as I was thinking along similar lines for the Tatooine themed board - that still hasn't materialised! I have one in the loft and love the idea of it getting a new lease of life.

    1. Thank you Michael, hope you had a great Christmas. As you are looking to do similar with your transporter, I will post up the stages of it as I go for you, The one I've got doesn't have the front or back panels so that should save you some time, but will show how I get round this as well

    2. Can't wait, thank you. I think the one in the loft is complete, but will need to check at some point.

    3. No problem Michael, have been taking photo's as I go for you. I noticed the back panel on the original is quite different to the photograph, so was happy I didn't have the back panel but the front would have saved a lot of work ! LOL

    1. Thank you Frank, I think Santa must have been looking in a different direction on a couple of occasions ! LOL
Great idea on gaming inside Frank, had a similar idea with a Millenium Falcon I have found since the move, so watch this space on what develops !

  3. Blimey Dave I'm impressed that you've painted up Christmas Figures already. I got a sea mat from Deepcut Studios and managed a game with a couple of ships but nothing productive. I take my hat off to you, well done.

    1. Thank you John, had a couple of days where I had the house to myself, so very little distractions. I would say your doing better than me as I haven't been able to have a game in 8 months, so I would say you're doing better than me !

    1. Thank you Wouter, I've been wanting to paint some more for my Star Wars project since the move, this is the first chance at doing that in 8 months so was keen to get them done. The transporter may take a while, but should have updates soon

  5. Really like these Dave, that Blue squadron pilot especially. Poor beggars died to a man in Rogue One, right?

I re-found all my old Wizkids Star Wars minis collection recently. Think I might take your example and start to repaint a few this year for gits and shiggles.

    1. Thank you Dai, you’re not wrong about blue squadron, but as I’m setting my games before the completion of the first Death Star means they can make an appearance.
Great that you found your models and what a wonderful idea to paint them up and get a new lease of life, look forward to seeing your exploits
