MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU

Yes it's Star Wars day again ( which is most days in my house) but this is the worldwide recognised one. Todays post could have been called Furry Nice, but I'll stick with the official one ! LOL First up is a conversion of Krrsantan from the spares I had from the Wookie warriors, I used one of the heads and a pair of arms which I had to modify, the rest was sculpted. As a character he fought in the Death Pits until he became a bounty hunter, his first Live Action appearance was in the book of Boba Fett, and was suggested by Azazael.

Next today is a full sculpt of Gunji, who was a Jedi apprentice during the Clone Wars, and survived order 66 and was returned to Kashyyk by the Bad Batch, which I have so gaming wise would add another scenario. this was suggested by Mr.Martin to do a Wookie Jedi.

Last today was a couple of Ewoks which I received as freebies in my recent order, now I'm not planning on doing Ewoks at the moment, but thought I would get them painted, so I am up to date with all my Star Wars models.

Here is a group shout to show the different sizes.

That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !

Cheers Dave

  2. Brilliant. A great display of fur texture.
And once more showing just how vast the Star Wars universe is. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thank you misterc, used several ways of adding different colors, Krrsantan, and Gunji had additional colors painted on, but used washes on the Ewok to add the stripes. Indeed the universe is very vast, so I wont be doing everything ! LOL

  4. haha this is great.
shamefully i never sat down and watched the animated Clone Wars or the Bad Batch, (which i should) but the wookie jedi apprentice is cute. i will admit though i was kinda annoyed how Book of Fett played out but seeing Krrsantan was really cool. and those ewoks..you can't go wrong. very cool man.

    1. Thank you Mr. Martin, Bad Batch was great all the way through, Clone Wars was great, but some episodes were a bit dull, the later seasons were fantastic. Overall I enjoyed Book of Boba Fett, but there were elements I would have done differently, but lots of great details for Tatooine for me to use though ! LOL

    2. i agree with some changes with B.o.Fett.
i totally admit though i did have a crush on Garsa Fwip. Jennifer Beals is stunning in anything she is in. lol you need a Garsa Fwip figure now.
and for me seeing a live action Cad Bane was great. i've seen mixed feelings about it but i liked it.

    3. I recently saw a 3D print of Garsa, and she is already on my list. Seemed to be the biggest complaint was killing him, the fact that he'd been alive through the Clone Wars and the Empire ment he would die at some point ! LOL

  5. And there was me thinking Kelnacca was the only wookie jedi, Dave. Superb posting. Lots to enjoy and learn tbh. All the figures look awesome with your paintjobs. Though I think the two cute Ewoks steal it for me. LOL!!

    1. Thank You Simon, Gunji was shown before Kelnacca, but Lowbacca (Chewbacca's nephew) made his appearance in the Expanded universe before them both ! LOL

  6. Haha I see why you had the initial title. Very nice looking wookies, and I knew all the characters this time!

    1. Thank you SD, the second title had a very Paul feel to it, which people could have got the wrong idea about ! LOL That's cool I was able to show more well known ones, I don't just do the obscure ! LOL

  7. Belated happy SW Day Dave! Sadly, I wasn't able to watch or read any SW to celebrate and certainly not engage in any SW hobby.

Makes me happy tho to see you doing so! Love the wookies, especially Gunji who was an endearing character in the cartoon.

My highlight for this post are the ewoks tho. Have liked those silly space-teddy-bears since I first saw them when ROTJ was first released in 83. Great sculpts and painted perfectly. Would love to see an Ewok Jedi or Dark Force user one day... Just seeing one of these carnivorous cuties with a lightsaber tickles me pink.

  8. Thank you Dai, that means you still have Maul to watch, great episodes, and yes i did work on some Star Wars models as well as some monsters.
I really liked Gunji, and was cool to see another survivor of order 66, there seems to be a lot more than originally thought, as they were good at hiding from the Inquisitors ! LOL
Funny how we only got Ewoks because they couldn't find enough 6 foot plus people to play Wookies, but just as well so we had the story we did ! LOL

    1. I'm half way through Maul and I'm thoroughly invested so far.

It made absolutely NO sense that the Clones/Inquisitors/burgeoning Empire would be able to murder all those Jedi in one fell swoop. No government is that efficient, at doing ANYTHING! LOL So it makes way more sense that there'd be far more than just a handful of Jedi survivors left than the official narrative tries to describe.

Krrsantan is just excellent, Dave! :-) I'm currently reading one of the Doctor Aphra graphic novel collections and he's in there (you so have to get a Doctor Aphra figure done - right timeline for you as well)! All nice models here though, and I say that even though I am not an Ewok fan!

    1. Thank you John, was a fun model to convert and paint, and I already have Doctor Aphra and the two droids already painted from the Imperial Assault sets ! LOL
