Yes todays trio collectively spent less time on screen then I did ! LOL So first is another pod racer, Clegg Holdfast who is a Nosaurian, left off some of the finery to make his clothing look more everyday.
Next is Gasgano, who is a Xexto, for this one I left off the headgear, for walking around the streets.
Here is a group shot of all the racers so far.
I now have the seven that didn't even get a second of screentime left to do.
Today I can call time on the patrons of the Cantina, as I have the last one finished.
Wanted to make sure he lent on the table, as in the screen shot, the head started as a GW Imperial Guard head, but the rest is greenstuff over wire frame, on one of my stools. That's all for today, so until next time, stay safe, and have fun !
Cheers Dave

Astounding. Those pod racers look great.
ReplyDeleteThank you misterc, the unseen ones will be interesting, some great designs in there.
DeleteGreat looking additions Dave and congrats on getting that last cantina fig done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Dai, was good to get that one ticked off, just the B'omarr Monk for Jabba's Palace, and that ones finished too.
DeleteBeautiful work again!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michal, has been good practice for my hands.
DeleteI insist, your dedication to catch every detail on all those characters is simply astoundishing. I'm amazed by your output
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber, trying not to procrastinate as much at the moment ! LOL plus still trying to catch up from last years time off.
DeleteI may have missed some of the lore somewhere, we’re you an extra in one of the movies?!
ReplyDeleteThank you SD, there was a David Stone in New Hope, which wasn't me, the screentime I was referring to was this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5EZaO1HPF4&t=992s where I played a rock alien ! LOL Although would love to be an extra in Star Wars as well ! LOL
DeleteOh haha that’s awesome.
DeleteGreat short movie to be part of, their other one Judge Minty was great to.
DeleteYour dedication to your Star Wars project continues to inspire and create awe, Dave. What cracking additions you've sculpted & painted. I'd be surprised if that patron of the cantina wasn't given a name (and backstory) in some Star Wars CCG or another. I always thought they covered everyone by the end. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Simon, there are a couple that still don't have names, this is one, the human from Jabba's palace is another, and there was an unnamed Aqualish in Jabba's Palace as well, even their figure releases were classed as unnamed ! LOL
DeleteDave, you're absolutely right. All I can find is that he's a Corellian Pirate who is sat down with Debnoli. Blimey. I'd have thought between all the expansion of the Star Wars CCG and Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Miniatures Game that someone would have covered him. LOL!!
DeleteSome fall through the cracks, Bespin is the worst for unnamed characters, ones known as man running with Ice Cream Churner (now known as Cantona's ! LOL)
DeleteAmazing stuff sir, I think I used to work with that cantina chap years ago 🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteAs for the ice cream churned isn't he called Ben Anjerri? 🤣🤣🤣😉
Cheers Roger
Thank you Roger, when I was painting him, I kept thinking Freddy Mercury ! LOL He could be ! LOL
DeleteMore great scultps, Dave - these ones really have that "Episode I" look to them where Lucas just went entirely wacky with CGI!
ReplyDeleteThank you Azazael, yes he was like a kid in a candy store, and had no limitations ! LOL
DeleteIts great to see more pod racers from you, Dave! I used Gasgano a lot in the Star Wars Pod Racer game so I know him well. I also have his pod racer built currently as part of a Lego set which I was attempting to build and then sell so its especially cool to see him. The group shot is excellent and I can't help but think how they're all half-mad for their chosen profession! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeff, he was a fun one to sculpt with all his extra arms ! LOL haven't decided which pod racer to build later this year, his is still in the running. They probably have one of two reasons, quick riches & fame, or adrenaline junkies, for me it was always the later, just difficult when you can no longer get that rush ! LOL
DeleteThese are great, Dave! :-) You've really captured their likenesses!
ReplyDeleteThank you John, was good practice for my hands ! LOL
