Today I have the second half of my recent purchase painted up, now these are characters that are disliked for one reason or another, mostly their actions. First today is Qi'ra, she is second in command of Crimson Dawn under Maul, and was Han's first love, but she chose power over love. The model is a 3D resin print.
Next today is Cid, she is a Trandoshian female business owner, of questionable reputation, I thought the model would do as a business owner on Tatooine. Also a 3D resin print.
Next today is Wato a Toydarian scrap merchant seen in Episode one and the owner of Anakin Skywalker, he has very low morals and is only interested in money, there is a current theory that Darth Vader killed him, so he could still be around in my time frame.

Has he gone ? Good, right if you asked most people who is the most hated character in Star Wars, they would probably say Jar Jar Binks, but if you are older and read the original comics, then they would probably say Jaxxon, who was a six foot tall green rabbit ! His actual species designation is a Lepi. When the original film had finished in it's comic run, Marvel then had Luke trying to recruit on a water planet, and Han on another desert planet, Han ended up playing out the Magnificent Seven, recruiting a bunch of people to save a village and Jaxxon was one of them.
So why did I get this 3D print, bit of nostalgia, plus it was a character I could put in games and wouldn't mind if he gets shot ! LOL and if Dai decided to keep reading here's a picture to keep you happy mate.

DeleteProbably my favourite of your Star Wars posts, Dave, as Jaxxon was my all-time favourite character in the Star Wars comics - and your paint job has most definitely done the figure proud. I've never seen the Han Solo movie or the cartoon series Cid is presumably from. But the paint-jobs on those are excellent too. I was nothing sure whether Watto was meant to bring some light relief to Phantom Menace tbh, as he never made me laugh despite his preposterous design - fat bug with tiny wings that can fly. However, that's a top job you've done on him too. What a roll you are on.

I always thought of Wato as an antagonist, someone for Anakin to dislike and have negative emotions about, as Jar Jar was already the comic relief, always thought his flying was like a bumble bee principle ! LOL
DeleteYou had me laughing in the courtroom with this one! (Luckily, there's nothing going on in here this morning, so no proceedings disrupted.) Jaxxon is indeed THE WORST Star Wars character, ev-ar!!! Gawds, what were Marvel thinking with that design choice!? -__- (You painted him up well though Dave. I'll give you that much.)

Cid was a really fun character in Bad Batch. They gave her lots of depth that added to the main storyline well. Good stuff on painting her up just like in that screenshot.
Watto.... I was always a bit "meh" about him. Then there were the episode(s?) in Clone Wars where Toydarians featured moreso and I grew to like them a bit more in general. Good version of him here and I like the flying stand you chose.
It's posts like this that make me happy. :)
